This is definitely a boutique hotel, not a family hotel I feel; however I a, sure the lovely staff would welcome any families. We arrive at 7pm and ordered the hotel Mercedes transfer and Kristian the driver was lovely, as all staff seemed to be. He took us to our room on the 2nd floor which was a superior sea view and the view was amazing. Simply stunning - the hotel deserves five stars for its location alone, which lends itself to a relaxing and romantic time. We ate in the restaurant that night and it was lovely and again a view to die for. We taxis into the old town a few nights ( try 360 restaurant for a total treat and the best view in Dubrovnik and food) The taxi with a tip was about £10 each way and takes 10 minutes max. I understand buses are regular, but we were quite dressed up so we opted for taxis instead. The hotel breakfasts were served on their terrace restaurant and it was all very lovely - fresh and enough to serve most palletes and the staff always accommodating and helpful. Our room had a fabulous balcony with a view unrivalled across the bay - you can sit happily for hours. The maid did an excellent job and the room was lovely and had plenty of facilities and you get a turn down service each night. I would say this is 5 star, but it's a boutique hotel not a business hote, so that's what you should expect - boutique 5 star - small but perfectly formed with excellent service. I loved this place and felt thoroughly relaxed. I would definitely return and I have stayed in some lovely hotels; however this hotel is the most romantic and pretty. If you do not like it then it's down to you picking the wrong type of holiday hotel - think couples and relaxation and you will not be disappointed .....

Room Tip: Definitely pay the extra for the view and balcony.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights while we stayed in Dubrovnik. Excellent hotel, I don't think there was one bad thing about this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, sea side, quiet and away from old town. The hotel offers an amazing view of the ocean. On the ground floor there is a bar that leads out to a deck/platform that you can relax on enjoy drink and go swimming.

We had a basic room with a King bed, the room was spacious had a balcony and very comfortable, the room is quiet and offer an excellent night sleep. You can control the AC yourself and the room has wifi; absolutely wonderful.

The hotel offers free wifi, breakfast and parking. It is an amazing hotel; from the service to the food it is a wonderful hotel, we highly recommend this place.

This hotel has great reviews and came highly recommended and we booked 4 nights in a suite with hot tub to celebrate our anniversary in June 2014
The hotel location is great but we were so disappointed with the poor service/ quality we were experiencing at the hotel we checked out after 2 nights and went to another hotel which fortunately lived up to its 5 star rating
We would not recommend this hotel to discerning travelers

This hotel is in a great location, with fantastic views across the bay and also close to the main Lapad resort centre - just a short walk along the pathway with great views of the sea on the way.

The hotel is great, with the Cave bar pretty cool and the rooms and all areas of the hotel of a very high standard. I'd recommend paying the extra for a sea view - it was well worth it - being able to sit on the balcony or even lie in bed and see the sea ! The rooms were large, with a great bath with spa jets etc.

Breakfasts were good, with a wide range of food and even sparking wine if you like starting that early. Starting the day sitting outside on the terrace looking across the bay and having breakfast was lovely. We eat once in the evening and the food was again really good and reasonably priced.

The hotel pool is a little small, but again, has a great view and there is also a Jacuzzi as well, so that was nice to relax in and look out to sea. The area next to sea has sun loungers and was next to the Cave Bar. It would be good if the hotel could somehow try and enforce a policy so people didn't just leave their towels on the sun loungers and disappear as that was quite annoying as there were not that many. The Cave Bar also meant it got quite busy with non residents, so could be hard to find somewhere to sit at times. There was access to the sea by a couple of steps and it was great to swim and snorkel - lots of fish and even an octopus was seen !

The staff were incredibly friendly - the reception staff in particular couldn't do enough to help. Only slight comment is that the service in the Cave Bar was quite slow at times.

All in all, a fantastic hotel, brilliant !

Room Tip: Go for the sea view - its worth the extra cost.

My Wife & I have just returned from a week at Hotel More & I have to say we thought it was fabulous, the location is stunning, away from the crowds but a five minute walk to lots of bars and restuarants, a ten minute bus ride will get you to Dubrovnik old town & they run every 15 minutes up till midnight. Our standard room was very clean and spacious with a veranda and a large modern bathroom, we did not book a sea view but would if we went again as the view from the front of the hotel is amazing.
we found all the staff friendly, helpful and charming, nothing was too much trouble, a nice touch is the mobile phone in the bedroom which you are encouraged to carry about with you in and out of the hotel and the address book contains all the numbers for all the hotel services.
We ate in the restaurant once which was good with large portions but quite expensive, there are loads of restaurants to choose from within a 5 minute well lit walk from the hotel.
Some people have said that this hotel is a "Croation 5 star" equivalent to a "British 4 star", I dont agree, I have stayed in loads of 5 star hotels in the UK which were nowhere near as good as this. The cave bar which is built into the rock face is a unique feature and is a great place for drinks and its right at the waters edge.
We loved it.

One of the many very good things about Hotel More but arguably the best is the splendid location. Just a short bus or cab ride to the Old City but it sits in a beautiful location overlooking the bay. You can stroll along the lower walk way down by the say to the cafes and bars nearby or the slightly less interesting higher level road which runs parallel.

Our 'classic room' was very pleasant (all you need but no tea or coffee making facility) and a great bathroom. The view it must be said was a bit 'lacking' across the side walls and back of the building with a tiny glimpse of the sea. We did however get the sun on our balcony in the afternoon.

Meals are served on the large terrace over looking the sea. We had dinner twice. The food is adequate and plentiful but not great and certainly expensive for what it is. You can certainly do better elsewhere.

The Cave Bar is worth a try - nice cocktails (reasonably priced for a hotel) but sadly the sea front part served one of the worst cooked hamburgers for lunch ever known.

The staff are friendly and polite. It's generally a good place.

If Dubrovnik is the pearl of the Adriatic then Hotel More is the pearl of Dubrovnik. We were given a warm welcome from Nika on reception who spent time explaining the services provided by the hotel. Although arriving mid-morning, our room was ready for which we were grateful having made an early start. The views from the room were stunning and the standard of cleanliness exceptional.

We had dinner on three nights and all restaurant staff, especially Valentina and Vladimar were most attentive and looked after us very well. Breakfast offered a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice.

The cave bar offers a good choice of light meals until 5.00 pm. Having a steak sandwich and a beer, with the Adriatic lapping at your feet is my idea of heaven.

The Dubrovnik card is a good investment. Apart from entry to various museums etc., it provides for 20 trips on the local No.6 bus to the Old Town and entry to the city walls.

All in all, a most enjoyable week at an excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Request a sea view room with balcony, although some rooms have shutters which open but restrict the...
