If you want a beach, shops selling ice lollies with all manner of beach attire, a huge swimming pool, endless corridors for the kids to run amok in, a nightclub, drinking til 3am - you get the idea - then this is not the place for you.
If you want a small hotel with all the facilities of a large chain hotel, discreet yet attentive staff, relaxing atmosphere, a very well priced quality restaurant and a midnight last call at the bar - this is the place for you.
Maybe I'm not that demanding and I try not to have too many expectations but I had the most relaxing holiday at Hotel More and will definately go back. A week was just perfect - 2 weeks may have been a bit much at this particular hotel but I am now back at work, feeling like I've had a relaxing, stress free, (slightly indulgent) holiday. Amazing.

Room Tip: i was perfectly happy with my room on the first floor with sea view above the restaurant - but close...

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful view. It is a bit far from downtown, but that gives it a sense of peace and quiet which is nice. The staff is friendly and helped me with travel arrangements and a tour in the city. The breakfast is large and terrific, overlooking the water. The cave bar is over-rated and small, but neat to look at. To get to the city, take bus 6. I took a cab once and the cab driver pretended he didn't know where he was to try to drive up the bill. If you want peace and quiet, this is a good choice.

Hotel more is nice. The sea view is spectacular; the cave restaurant is truly amazing; the reception staff is friendly and competent.

What the hotel lacks is the attention to details, which I understand, More announces by putting five stars on the hotel flag.

There was no drinking water in the room, the evening bed-side candy (always a nice element) was of non-elaborate mass production; we were chased away in the middle of our breakfast by vacuuming of the restaurant just 20 minutes past serving time. I understand that late-comers are to be punished by less choice at breakfast buffet, but this is a bit too much for a five-star establishment. Details...? Perhaps... but More left me expecting more.

Spent a weekend here recently and can't wait to return. Gorgeous hotel, ideally located, 10 minute bus ride to the old town, and lovely walk to nearby restaurants etc. We went swimming in the gorgeous adriatic sea and although initially the water felt a bit cool, once you got in, it was fab. The cave bar is unique and perfect for that afternoon beverage, cocktail or coffee. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, the setting is ideal, romantic and we certainly enjoyed our buffet breakfasts there. We loved it and will definitely return.

A retired couple, we stayed at Hotel More in early summer 2014 and were delighted with its position on the attractive Lapad peninsula. Dubrovnik old city was easily accessible from here (a 10 minute bus-ride) for day-time visits, but later in the day it was a pleasure to return to the less hectic Lapad bay. Evening meals at Hotel More were fine, but we also carefully selected one or two other eating places that provided an authentic Croatian experience. We were impressed by the overall tidiness & cleanliness of Setaliste Kralja Zvonimira - the laid-back & child-friendly pedestrian area a short walk away from the main hotels. Hotel More is one of the smaller & more personalised ones, with an upside down floor system that sees the lifts going up-for-down & conversely down-for-up! This perhaps because one of the main attractions is the truly unusual bar-bistro situated in a cave, with an excellent balcony for sitting or swimming overlooking Lapad Bay ... particularly picturesque & relaxing in the evenings. We couldn't fault our room & room services - excellent - but imagine the ones with sea views are best to get, if possible. Staff never less than polite & friendly. Lastly, can report breakfasts were excellent ... but with the overall standards so good, as outlined, why no freshly-squeezed orange juice?

Room Tip: Sea view, if possible

We have stayed in a number of boutique hotels in a variety of countries and this is as good as most of them. The service on arrival was good, the breakfast is perfect and the facilities for sun bathing are better than we have seen in this particular area. Our room was disappointing as it had zero view, but otherwise clean and well appointed.

We stayed at the Hotel More last week. Fantastic location with lovely views - do try and get a room with a sea view. There are steps down from the bar area into the sea and it is a beautiful place to swim. There is also a more traditional style pool but it is very small, I much preferred swimming in the sea.
You can walk into the old town but it is about 40 minutes and was very hot, much easier to get the bus which is regular and direct. If you walk the other way (along a walking trail that is also good for a run) you get to the main port where some of the boat excursions leave. There are plenty of restaurants in the area as well as the hotel restaurant, if you don't want to go back into the old town at night.
Good choice at breakfast. We only ate in the restaurant in the evening once but it was good food. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel.
