“Yummy”

Really nice food. Got there about 9pm and put our names down for a table. Only took about 25 mins to wait. Got the sharing platter for 2 and another main to share between three of us and it was heaps of food. Well worth a visit.

“Best food, service and style within budget”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2014

All right, it's been the 5th time I visited Taj Mahal yesterday, and it proved again that just any meal on their menu has a great taste, that hasn't been obtained accidentally but with hard work and clear goal - keep guest satisfaction at maximum.
Typical Bosnian dishes are served. Bosnian cuisine is (obviously) not as complex as french, but pleasure you feel while eating simplest cevapi goes beyond many french dishes, and that's what counts. Had a luck to check many Bosnian restaurants in Dubrovnik and in other parts of Croatia, however this is really something extra. Yes - you will pay cevapi plate from 60 kunas (around €8), and that's double price compared to the rest in Croatia, but given Dubrovnik standard prices that's a very good deal, especially for best cevapi I ate in Croatia ever (yes, ever).
Staff is quick and warm, each plate arrives quickly (remember we are on the Mediterranean - so that's not much expected), staff s as well very kind and precise with can-be-done attitude.
Outer terrace is great, while inner space is really beautifully designed, so are menus, plates... all to really good standards.
Remember there are two Taj Mahals around here: my experience is from the one out of Old Town - good this about it is that reservation long ahead is not mandatory (that's why I choose it many times, deciding about 30 minutes before and making a call still getting free table).

“Highly Recommended! ”

We booked in advance which was a good move as there were continuously at least a dozen people waiting for a table. Located on a narrow alleyway there isn't much room so it does feel hectic and a little cramped. The menu is refreshing for Dubrovnik, different to anything else we have seen and this is our 2nd holiday here.

The food is fabulous and very tasty, we had a platter followed by a meat feast which was magnificent, steak plus various veal turkey beef sausages and mince burger, plus a kebab. Great spices and herb seasonings. We then shared a baklava which was different to any other I've had before, followed by Bosnian coffee then house brandy,

The meal with a litre of house red came in around £60 which felt like the best value we have had in town. The staff are helpful and attentive, overall great and look forward to returning!

“Perfect meal”

such a great meal in old town! no wonder this place always has a line out the door. I grew tired of the same menu in every restaurant and this was not only different but DELICIOUS Bosnian cuisine!

“Great Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2014

We ate here in late July 2014 and it was a great experience for us...we went there the night before to make reservations as it is very busy and when we got there the next day the table was ready for us and we did not have to wait. There were 14 of us in our group and then had two large tables set for us. The service was excellent and the food was the best food we had in Dubrovnik.

We were all started off with a free shot of rakia for the table of adults and it was a good start to the meal! We then ordered Burek as and appetizer and it was very very tasty...most of us ordered the cevapis with pita and once we figured out how to eat it it was very very good...we did not know that the meat should be eaten inside of the pita...so an interesting dining experience and you learn something new every day! I will definitely go back to the Taj Mahal the next time I go to Dubrovnik!
