spent one night at this hotel and forgot my passport at reception desk. They told me they would send it home for me, but after three weeks waiting and insisting they haven't sent it yet and what's worse, no reply to my complains. Regarding the room, the tv didn't work, no air-conditioning, no lift.

This is the worst hotel experience I've had in Europe! We stayed in a dingy room in a dreary hotel. Had we not arrived at 8pm, we wouldn't have stayed at all. No omelette in the world could make up for this place. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, sheet was clean and had only one hole.

The lighting was bad, with fixtures falling off of the wall. The bathroom was a disaster. I can live with a little mildew (not this much), but when the shower doesn't drain, I have to think about my feet sharing bath water with the prior bather. A final rinse from outside the shower just doesn't cut it.

The one window opened up to 5 air conditioners and the back of 4 buildings. Parking is a lie and wifi router does not deliver DNS, so good luck using the internet from anywhere in the building. If I had internet, I probably would have found another place that night. Perhaps this is intentional.

Sound negative? I'm holding back. This makes a hostel stay look like organized and luxurious.

Room tip: Keep looking - you can't stay here.

it seems all the accommodation in Pula is expensive, with that in mind, the Omir seems like a reasonable option. It's perfectly located just 2 minutes walk from the old town and nightlife. My room was clean, bright and had an excellent bed and decent sized bathroom. The breakfast is very good for a 2 star - some bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, watermelon & eggs cooked to order. Wifi is strong and works throughout the building. It's not perfect, but it's not a 4 or 5 star and doesn't pretend to be.

Town center is really close by. Pedestrian zone, shops, touristic attractions - just a foot walk of few minutes.
Everything is clean. Hygenic conditions very good. The service is friendly and helpful. Especially the lady in the breakfast room.
WiFi is free, fast and reliable.
Our room was very small. You won't like to be in there for a whole day but it's okay if you just want to sleep. The window could not be completely opened so ist was a bit sticky. It was beginning of october. Midsummer could be a torture. We had a big fan in the room - but it did not work.
The TV set was a museum type. Very small.
We found the breakfast a bit poor - except the omelett which was very good.
If you travel by car: there is no parking place. Park in the road and pay for it. Hour for hour. From 7:00 on. That's it!
Parts of the house smell after cold smoke.
If you look for a central hotel at the lower end of the price range - take OMIR.
If you want more comfort - choose another one and pay more.

on top of everything else. Much too expensive for what you get, dingy room, half working facilities, tv from the 80s, bit nasty all in all. If it was 20e a night I wouldn't mind, but it's nearly 70. Rubbish. Avoid.

Room tip: no lift. so maybe ground floor is better.
