“Superb!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

We have just spent the last week of June/ first week of July here on an AI basis. The second week was notably busier..............but better weather!
The hotel is SPOTLESS.......fabulous contemporary decor throughout. The rooms are well designed, the beds are wonderfully comfortable and rooms are extremely quiet - the quieter rooms are on the front of the hotel overlooking the marina. I would certainly ask for a room here if you have children as the evening entertainment is held outside underneath the sea view rooms and quite loud.
Fabulous shower. Hair dryer provided and complimentary Elemis toiletries and tea/ coffee. No de-caff in room or restaurant though....only available at the bar. Rooms were serviced daily.
I would recommend taking your own towel in addition to the one allocated towel card you receive on check in.
The buffet style restaurant is clean but I agree with previous reviews that drink orders can be frustratingly slow at times. The wine is just ok. The mojito's however are amazing! The food choice although good, can be repetitive after a week. Being a vegetarian I did struggle a few nights - regardless of the choice of salads!
The pool staff were EXCEPTIONAL and deserve a tip if you can - regardless of their unassuming nature! They could not do enough for you. Special mention to Ana and Ira who ran the bar and the pool boy Tommy - I have yet to meet harder working or lovelier people.
The pool is in my opinion too small for the capacity of the hotel and as such people struggle to get a lounger after 8am.
The hotel is situated on a large complex ( we didn't realise when we booked) and includes a much busier, noisier complex of apartments. A parade of boutiques with a handy supermarket open till 10pm is a short walk from reception.
We did not do any Thomson excursions but understand they are good. We went into Pula regularly - 10 mins bus ride with the last bus home at 11:09 pm. Pula is vibrant and a wonderful place to saunter around day or night. The amphitheatre is stunning and a must-see. Lots of bistro's situated around a main square for great people watching - very reasonable prices for food and drink.
There is a lovely bar located just behind the security gate ( screened by shrubs and trees) which is a nice change to the inoffensive ( but sometimes boring) entertained provided by the hotel. The sunsets here are incredible.
We would certainly recommend this hotel; and have enjoyed every minute. I would say it is most suited to couples, even though we took our 8 year old during term time I don't think it is aimed at families.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms overlooking the marina on the front of the hotel - it can be noisy with a sea view wit...

The hotel is positioned beautifully on the peninsula, upon arrival we were able to upgrade our room to include an amazing sea view at a reasonable rate which I would recommend.

The hotel is modern and clean and it's decor rates amongst the best I have ever stayed in. Our room is spacious with a large tv (good to watch the World Cup) and a very modern bathroom.

The location is stunning and the sea is crystal clear, I have enjoyed swimming in it and have spent many happy hours sat on the surrounding fort walls. The Croatian Coast line has not disappointed.

The food has been good, sometimes very good and sometimes average. There is normally a good selection and certainly the quality is good.

My main problem has been with meal times though, getting served a drink has proved a nightmare, to the point where we have started bringing our own drink into the restaurant with us rather than be ignored by staff as they clear plates away. The chance of a second glass of wine with dinner is non existent and this is simply not good enough.

I think this is a real shame and lets an otherwise good hotel down badly.

I am here right now, and I must say the Thompson All Inclusive package is not worth the money. You are stuck in a 20 meter radius of the hotel fighting for sun beds and not getting the full all inclusiveness. The pool bar will serve a very limit drink and no food. Unless you pay. The hotel has in its grounds other outlets but you have to pay at these too, even for a sun bed. Hotel food is only at one buffet restaurant, and evening meals are between 7pm and 9pm by 8.30pm 80% of main meats gone and staff are also then taking food for themselves out back leaving very limit amount for guest who decide not to eat in the mad rush at 7pm.
The is no orange juice or cocktails for the all inclusive. But you do get orange squash.
Meanwhile paying customers get fresh orange juice.
I can go on.
If Thompson want to contact me to apologise for this service it will be most welcomed.
I will be getting in touch with Thompson when I get back, highlighting the problems and what I truly think the value of this holiday is worth. Somewhere between a b and b to full board.

Stayed in this hotel twice in the last 3 months for 4 days each time and I have to say that hotel is one of the best one's on that Peninsula. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. We had a great view of the pool and the ocean from our room. Beds are comfortable. However, their single beds are extremely narrow and should definetly come with railing on each side to prevent people from falling! European single bed is waaay smaller then what you will normally see in the states. Hotel staff was always helpful and for the most part very friendly. The buffet breakfast was great, with a large selection of various foods and drinks that never seemed to run out. The dinner buffet was just okay, so we only ate there one time. The Yacht bar, that the hotel staff highly recommened was dirty and the food quality was poor. "Clean" wine glasses had lipstick on them from previous customers. White wine served there was warmed and smelled like its been opened for weeks.
The beaches near the hotel were nice, the only downside is that there were public and a lot of locals were hanging around there in nude. Not the best beach view, especially after a nice, big breakfast.
The hotel also offeres trips and different activities during the day. We attend the wine testing. Although small, with only 3 types of wine it was fun and worth while.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definetly return to this hotel.

We visited this hotel for ten days through Thomson on the all inclusive option...

After reading a few reviews about people feeling as though they were treated differently from the other guests that were not all inclusive we have to say we never encountered that at all. There seems to be some myth that you can only drink in the lobby bar but this is not the case, we sat in the Luna bar every night and you are only charged for drinks if you order off plan. Special mention to Dean at the Luna Bar, he is an asset to the hotel and even went on a mission one night to find me yoghurt for my sunburned back!

The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and the maids are seen but never heard, no banging on the door at 8am. The decor is very modern and tasteful, there is an abundance of beds around the pool and grounds and we loved the indoor pool which we used most days albeit a little chilly.

Our only gripe was that the Restaurant became a bit of a feeding frenzy as the hotel got busier which was around 5 days in. If you are looking for a quieter more pleasant time to come then I would pick the first two weeks of June. As more guests arrived for the start of the season the service did go downhill in the restaurant, our plates were not cleared on a couple of evenings and we were not asked for our drinks orders.

The fine dining restaurant is now closed due to lack of interest but I am told that the Yacht Club operates the same menu, we didn't go but the views looked lovely. There is a very good pizzeria just outside the hotel, cheap but good quality.

Special mention also to Tommy and Ira at the pool bar, cannot do enough for you and so lovely to chat to, again an asset to the hotel.

One particular member of staff was found to be rather rude by us and a few other guests (Sanya) and frequently did not bring the drinks that you ordered or ignored you all together.

Entertainment wasn't great but it's the right level for the hotel, not intrusive but gets your feet tapping. We visited the cinema within the hotel twice, it is run by Dario and he will often give you a choice of several films to choose from and brings you snacks.

Overall it is really what you make it here, nothing is forced on you so you can lay and do nothing or find many things to keep you occupied. I would definitely come back but perhaps just for a week.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay and for sharing your thoughts on TripAdvisor. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness and decor of our hotel as well as the excellent customer service from Tommy, Ira and Dean. On a more negative note, we are sad to read about the inconveniences you have experienced in the restaurant and especially with our waiter Sanya. Rest assured that this is not reflecting the standards of our services and actions will be taken immediately.Your remarks are most valuable to us since they help us to improve our service and identify those weaknesses where excellence of service is not being honoured.

We wish you all the best and hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future!

We stayed for one week, end of June early July 2014, we are a couple in our mid 40's. I would really struggle to have anything bad to say about the hotel, the staff are superb in every way. Loved the food at every meal, the house wine is pretty poor as we felt guests on all inclusive got the cheap stuff!! The Thomson rep was lovely and she made us feel that nothing would be have been too much trouble. The Champagne Bar is a must and we fell in love with Greta who always smiled when we arrived and chatted to us.

I would imagine at peak holiday times the place is overwhelmed with guests, on our last morning there we did go down to the pool and reserve our beds as by 8am all the best ones had gone!!!

We used the Spa facilities located in the lower ground on two occasions, superb treatments and very helpful and caring staff, prices a lot cheaper than the UK.

Catch the 3A to Pula and the 2A back, 11 Kuna per person each way, we went one evening and the place is alive and vibrant, again the people make it so special and every one smiles.

We did the 'Best of Istria' with Thomson and but for spending too long on the coach.......way too long the places we visited were beautiful. Thinking about it next time we would simply have hired a car and done it ourselves. Stay off their motorway ways to avoid tolls.

We will go back.

Lovely hotel in fantastic setting. Had room overlooking pool and little island. Brilliant facilities and very hard working staff who were always helpful. We went bed and breakfast, breakfast had amazing choices which would suit ever palate. Not many restaurants within walking distance, but not a problem as bus service into Pula regular and cheap.
Went on ferry to monk island and went to Lake Bled long day but well worth it.
The 2 only negatives were that people were putting out towels very early and in some cases not coming to the loungers until lunchtime. Also could do with some more umbrellas.
With the plaza and apartments as well it did give a feel of Centre Parcs by the sea
