Reviewed 5 May 2013

If you wish to enjoy in see, good accomodation, very good food ( inspite is HB, food is like you are in " a la Card "restoran) , you must come to this hotel. There is at the most beautiful part of Zadar ( Borik)! Hotel is very quiet, has a beautifful outside pool. If you wish, you have a coplete SPA at the hotel nearby ( also Falkensteiner, Funymation)! Excellent stuff...

I must admit I was having doubts when we drove up to the resort. It looked pretty old and institutional on the outside, but the minute we saw the interior I knew it was a lovely place. The entire interior has been remodeled and is both very comfortable and inviting. Lots of thought obviously went into remodeling the rooms. No wasted space but everything was well situated and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to give directions and tourist advise. We did half board and were very pleased with the selection and quality of the food. The hotel is a short and inexpensive taxi ride from the old town. The hotel grounds were really lovely and quiet. Very happy with our stay.

Only stayed for one night on October 7 as my friend and I had to catch an early flight out of Zadar after travelling Croatian coast for a week. We arrived early, and they fortunately had a room available plus they upgraded us (to junior suite I think). Caught a few last minutes at the pool and wandered down the public beach located right outside the grounds of the resort. The 'a la carte' dinner (included) was amazing. We left too early the next morning to experience the breakfast, but would assume it to be just as good. We checked out the neighboring hotel (spa and fitness facility) and it looked decent but we had no time to use. I would not hesitate in recommending this to others... and I would stay here longer in future if I make it back to Zadar!

The pros: Very friendly, polite and always smiling staff, willing to help you in any way they can. Excellent food! Book for half board it is well worth it! You get a buffet with salads, a first course, a main course (to choose among 3 different options) and a desert. Breakfast was also very good. Nice swimming pool area. The hotel provides a towels and flip-flops which is a nice gesture.
The cons: The bedroom area was relatively small with an annoying smell of mold and the room was full of mosquitoes!! In the bathroom, on the ceiling, in the closet, everywhere. We must have killed at least 30. Additionally, there was no elevator. Be prepared to curry your own luggage. Usually is the pool boy who curries them but if one arrives during the rush hour, he needs to wait for a long time.
My overall impression of the hotel was quite good, a bit overpriced though.

This is a really lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and pool set by the sea, just a few minutes by car from Zadar. On the hottest summer day you can sit in a chaise longue under an old tree, with views of the sea and gardens and pool. Through a gate are public beaches (mostly pebble) and two beach bars, and a few minutes walk to the left will take you to a wilder and uncrowded area for good swimming. But the hotel pool is so nice, and there is so much attractive space around it, you may not leave. Some afternoons the manager himself was going around the gardens and pool pouring prosecco for guests and offering elegant snacks and sushi, all complimentary. In general we found the service exceptional and friendly. Dinner was outside in a lovely old courtyard under glamorously lit trees. The food was surprisingly good each night. There is a changing menu with daily specials, usually a choice between three, and first course is taken from an indoor buffet including fresh salads and some nights fresh shellfish. If you don't finish your bottle of wine, they will keep it for you and you can drink it the next night. (This was a first for us.) There was live music most nights, what you would call dinner or lounge music. The service at dinner was exceptional, as it was throughout the hotel. The staff are friendly and professional. The manager is good at his job and seems to enjoy it, stopping by some dinner tables each night, chatting with guests and creating the kind of atmosphere you find at some of the famous old world caribbean resorts. He has just the right touch: sociable and helpful, but not at all intrusive, which is a talent.
The rooms: we had a junior suite which was clean and comfortable, with very nice renovated bathroom, free wifi (works well even outside) and large balcony with garden view. The room was fine, but not up to the glamour of the pool and gardens, the dining and the service. We were very happy and comfortable anyway. This is a lovely place with special atmosphere and service. It's ideal for people who are looking to unwind in a beautiful setting, and who enjoy relaxed elegance. It is not really a place for children and there were none when we were there. We loved this hotel and would happily return.

stayed for 3 nights in june in the hotel adriana at the start of our croatian holiday. we were absolutely delighted with this hotel- easily the best on the trip . the hotel is rated as a 4 star because they have no lift and the spa is next door. to compensate they go out of their way to make the hotel experience a wonderful. the grounds and pool outside and the rooms are good but the service and food at breakfast and for dinner ( included in deal) were just wonderful. the manager and all staff were going out of their way to ensure everything was to guests' satisfaction. a wonderful place to chill out and relax.

We are just coming back from 1 week vacation in Croatia. We spent the last 2 nights in the Hotel Adriana. This has been the best hotel we have been into. Rooms are confortable and design. The staff is so customer-oriented and friendly. Food (Dinner was included) was excellent with 'a la carte' menu. The swimming pool is great ... well difficult to do better
