It's a combination of things that creates an experience, and Tinel has a lot to offer. The food is really good, and few things we tried were truly amazing, on par to the best Italian restaurants in New York City (quite a few of which are, as I learned, actually operated or owned by Croatians). The atmosphere of the old town and the view of the main town square with all the buzz and happenings, with a table on a side street that still allows a level of privacy. Combined with a charismatic owner who is always there to welcome and entertain guests, but also to run, take care of or bring whatever a guest might need, all the ingredients for a good mood and a great food are there. If - no, when I visit Croatia again, we'll be in Tinel for sure.
