“Hotel Duomo”

We booked the two-bedroom apartment in this hotel because we liked its design in a historic style. We were in Kotor just one night, and therefore choose to stay in the Old Town. And our rest was very nice in the old town in a historic building in the well-furnished apartment. Breakfast on the terrace was good and in harmony with the whole atmosphere.
The apartment was large with a nice bathroom and all bathroom amenities, including bathrobes. The apartment has a small kitchen, sofa, TV, desk, safe ..
The only negative thing apartment has two separate bedrooms but in the bedrooms do not have doors.
The girl at the reception was kind, in traditional dress.
I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotels promotional material indicates their windows are sound proof. If this is true, the walls are not. Intruding sounds include the clock tower chiming through the night and church bells rung loudly in the evening and 7am in the morning. Not unusual for an old town I guess. Other sounds came from people in the squares below and the gentle doof, doof of music to "lull" you to sleep. Top tip - bring ear plugs.

We stayed in an attic room which is cute, but the bed is located in a loft and takes up most of the space. One partner may need to climb out over the end of the bed if you need to get out during the night. Two flights of stairs (in addition to the lift) were needed to access our rooms on the top floor.

These annoyances aside, it is a lovely hotel and would otherwise rate higher. Rooms are beautifully decorated and generally well maintained (our sliding bathroom door was stuck). Everything you need is provided and staff are friendly and helpful. My wife rated the room higher but she regularly wears ear plugs,

I found this place on the net via booking.com, then had a look at their own website to make sure what everyone was saying was right - we were not disappointed. Right in the old town of Kotor almost In the side of bill St. John, it was divine. This is a town with no cars and doesn't take long to explore. The hotel itself was redecorated in the old style, had every amenity and our bed was on a mezzanine floor. Plenty of room to relax in the sitting area at the end of a day of exploring. Highly recommended. All of the ladies on reception were lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was a lovely way to start the day. They don't do evening meals, but there are plenty of eateries either in then old town or along the bay.

Room Tip: I accidentally hit kids activities and couldn't change it...no kids activities available.

The rooms are not cheap, so there can be no excuse for the deficiencies in my room: bathroom light not working, general lighting very bad and faulty air conditioner. Mad the room very, very stuffy. Service was a dozy and staff need to be much more attentive. A nice breakfast though.

Room Tip: don't choose the attic room, it is not up to scratch

Located perfectly in the middle of Kotor, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful town. During our 3 night stay, we stayed in a spacious room with little added touches like bathrobes and slippers, and a seating area. We stayed in some questionable hotels/villas/apartments in Montenegro (and Croatia) during our trip but this place was what you'd expect from a boutique hotel in the UK.
We happened to be there for Boka Night which was a bit of a shock! We stayed out until 1am and enjoyed the open air nightclub (the entire town!) but the music didn't stop until after 3am. This only happens once a year in August (around the 17th) so just check if you don't fancy being kept up.

We just stayed at this hotel for two nights on a little romantic trip to Montenegro. The room looked just like on the pictures on the website, absolutely gorgeous, and the bathrobes are incredibly thick and comfy. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Tina who helped us get a tour guide, recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner and called ahead to reserve a table for us, and she got us info on boat excursions. In the end, the boats did not go because of heavy rain and we had to cancel our walking tour as well due to bad weather. Breakfast is plentiful, you pick sweet or savoury menus accompanied by fruit, juice, coffee etc. you can sit on a lovely terrace or at one of a few tables inside, or even have breakfast in your room. Only things we didn't like were that the minibar fridge in the room was so loud we had to unplug it at night, and the bed, while very comfortable, was also quite squeaky. None of these impact our excellent rating. We would recommend staying in Apt 6 or higher as 1-5 are quite close to the breakfast area, the elevator and/or the terrace, so they might be a tad loud. We had Apt 6, which was quiet enough, even though it was right next to the room with the cleaning supplies. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The room was clean, cool and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and help me to sort out a problem I had with my car. It is situated in the heart of the old city with great views up the mountains. We all enjoyed the breakfast served by the hardest working waitress in the world. If we ever visit kotor again this is where we would stay.

Room Tip: There is a best lift so no problems.
