“great price, great hotel”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

The prices are excellent, the wifi is infallible, the staff are polite and fun. In the heart of old town, but somehow still out of the way. An excellent choice for those popping in to Kotor for a few days.

Room Tip: 10% discount for guests at the restaurant. And a fridge in the room!

Kotor old town is so small that essentially there is no "bad location" as long as you're within the city walls. Rendez-Vous was adequate, with friendly staff and management. Nearing the end of its refurbishment cycle (brown limescale in the toilet, etc) but for the price it's fine. Wi-fi signal in the room was strong.

This hotel was a hidden gem. After staying in other hotels, it was so nice to come to a nice clean comfortable hotel. Great location, air conditioning worked a treat and lovely white sheets and comfortable bed. Staff were very accommodating.

The hotel has a perfect location, right in the heart of the old town. The rooms are small, but comfortable and everything in them is functional which is very important. There is a minibar, air conditioning, TV and hair dryer, beds are comfortable and everything is clean. It's true, there's not much of deposit space for luggage or cloths. The bathroom would need some renovations because some devices were licking. Overall, the accommodation is ok, even though small, but when you get to Kotor you don't want to spend too much time inside.
The staff is very friendly, especially the guys serving in the hotel's small restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, the breakfast (which for us was included in the price of the room) doesn't vary too much (different types of omelets or fried eggs with ham), but is big enough. You get your omelet, 2 sausages, house bread, butter and jelly. You can drink tea, juice and coffee, if you like, without charging anything extra. By the way, the house bread is simply DELICIOUS - we kept asking for more and eat it like crazy. They said that it's made by their Macedonian cook and it's the best in town. You can try having lunch or dinner at the restaurant - we did that too- because the prices are decent and the food is cooked well.
Concluding, this is a great choice if you stay in the old town of Kotor because it has a perfect location, rooms small but comfortable and functional - in general, don't expect big spaces in the old town because the buildings respect the original structure from the times they were erected, the staff is friendly and the food great - especially that house bread I mentioned.

Room Tip: Choose a room with windows in the back of the hotel so you don't hear the noise from the small r...

Rooms are very small but just right for the price, with free breakfast and they gave us 10% off for lunch and dinner. Location is excellent if you want to stay inside Old Town. The rooms are on top of the restaurant but quiet at night, and the staff are very nice and helpful. We are very pleased with the service. Wi-Fi works perfectly. The only disadvantage is the parking. With the help of one of their staff,we have to drive around to find a public parking. But over-all I will recommend the hotel to anybody that want to visit Kotor.

When we arrived in Kotor we walked from the bus station and got a map of the old town from the Tourist Info office right by the main gate. It didn't help much. We wandered the maze of streets and one hotel said rooms from 90 euros, the second 70 (and the room was third rate), and, tiring rapidly, we cane across a neat little square with a small hotel called Rendez Vous. 50 euros, including breakfast, and a 10% discount for 2 nights when I asked for one. First floor, above the bar, with a view over the square, tidy bedroom with tv, shower room, separate wc and basin, and a separate lounge, also with tv.Breakfast was a choice of egg dishes, and we hsd thick bacon and fried eggs (x3), and coffee or tea. Very comfortable, and with friendly and accommodating staff. The small but cosy bar offers a good menu with reasonable prices.

Nice but small hotel right in the old town of Kotor, couldn't get much better than that with location! Hotel staff was really friendly and helpful, when I needed information about bus departures they called the bus station for me without any hesitation. I had the luck to have a room en-suite (the only one in the hotel) which really made my stay more perfect. Breakfast was simple (choice between baked egg or sweets) but definitely delicious! The bread they offer is apparently home-made, nice touch. At night the hotel bar was filled with locals which for me is a good sign and contributes positively to a pleasant stay.

I stayed there for 3 nights and not once my room was cleaned and/or towels changed. Room was very spacious (twice the size as all other rooms) but the price was the same as for people who had the smaller room, although it didn't impact me it's not fair to other guests. Although the hotel promotes payment with credit card upon arrival the hotel staff was very keen and somewhat pushing to pay in cash (which I refused). Even though these 3 negative points my overall stay was very pleasant

Room Tip: Ask for the double room
