A day before our cruise ship pulled into Kotor we (4) decided to arrange a private tour of the walled city. Our Guide Sanja proved to be a warm, friendly and very knowledgeable person taking us through the city. Like other similar tours at other Ports, Sanja shared her passion of her country, its history and the difficulties which currently face the country. The tour was inexpensive and proved to be excellent value
The location of Kotor and its port, is in itself breathtaking. When looking at the ship from a distance within the city, it seems to be parked in the town main street.
If reasonably fit and partial to a challenge, take the walk up the mountain to the old fortress ( cost EU$3). The path is rugged in places, but the journey up is quite invigorating and view from the top, overwhelming.

What a way to spend our one day in Kotor off the cruise ship. Three friends and I booked the Boat Tour to Perast and Our Lady of the Rock. We were met promptly at the ship and whisked away to the owner's private boat. The weather could not have been more perfect, and the scenery more spectacular. The Bay of Kotor is indescribable. Our first stop was Our Lady of the Rock. The line to get into the church was long, so we were whisked around the bay for a while until it was easier to get in. Then off to Perast for a nice walk and beverage in a lovely restaurant. Just relaxing in the boat and listening to some of the history of the area was the best. He and his wife own this business and they take much pride in making their customers feel welcome. From the time I started emailing regarding this tour to the day we arrived, they were extremely accommodating. We would definitely book a tour with Adventure Montenegro again.

Our family (boy 11 years old) attended the River Tara rafting tour and it was so far one of the highlights of our European tour which has lasted for three weeks now. The trip by car from Kotor to Tara had beautiful sceneries and the rafting itself was very exciting to all of us.

The staff of Adventure Montenegro was very professional and at the same time very friendly. We felt very relaxed all the time with them.

We also did a three-four hour kayaking with them at the Kotor Bay. That was also a very nice experience with a good guide.

We docked in Kotor for one day on a cruise ship. The sail in was worth getting up at 6am or earlier. It is one of the most beautiful ports. Just like many of the reviews, we found Kotor to be a lovely city. We followed some suggestions on Trip Advisor and wrote to Liset at www.kotorprivatetours.com and since she was booked that day she sent a lovely, English speaking young woman named Marina. She and her driver took us to Budvar, and Sveti and the local market in Kotor where we sampled Sir cheese and prsut ham like prociutto. She was very knowledgeable and made our trip memorable. We did a half day tour since we wanted to be back for the ship in the afternoon. Marina suggested an lovely outdoor restaurant where we had nice views of mountains.

My husband and I booked a rafting tour for 80 euros on River Tara. It was my husband and I, another young couple our age, Rino (the owner) and Rajka (the intern at the agency and a super fun and sweet girl). We left Kotor at 7am and didn't get back until 5 pm. The it took about three hours to get to the little cabin/restaurant of the rafting company. We had a small breakfast buffet and went out rafting (which got kind of scary at times, my husband loved it). After we got back we had a delicious lunch served at the cabin restaurant and then we drove home completely exhausted.
All in all a great experience!
