Reviewed 30 July 2014

This place really was amazing. Very good located in a quiet spot in the middle of the old town of Kotor and just a few meters to the sea. the rooms are big and the interior was quiet new. We had a free dinner night (simple food but very tasty) and after that the staff took us out on a pub crawl.
i enjoyed every minute i stayed in that Hostel.

We stayed here for 4 nights one week and then came back for 2 nights a couple of weeks later because we loved the place. Once we stayed in a 12-bed dorm and once in an 8-bed dorm. Both were spacious and comfortable.

It is really clean and the facilities are great. The kitchen is available for cooking. They also have a €5 dinner available each night which is good value.

Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Sometimes there are rakija nights and sangria which is always good fun! They are always able to help organise transfers, pub crawls and tours around Montenegro. Internet, air conditioning and location are all faultless.

This hostel is the perfect combination of a fun partying place where there is always a quiet bed to go back to. We absolutely loved our stay at Old Town Hostel and will return again if we are in Montenegro!

This place will really be hard to beat! The location is right I the middle of the beautiful old town, the dorm rooms were spacious cool and clean, the staff were fun and helpful and all this put together made it a fantastic hostel with an unbeatable atmosphere! The social area was a really great place to meet people and the super cheap bar crawl was a great way to see some of Kotor's interesting night life! The only thing I would say could be improved was the damp smell in the bathrooms but that was easily forgotten about because the rest if the experience was so great!

Fabulous hostel set in the heart of Kotors old town. The owners have maintained the buildings beautiful original condition and the dorm was the nicest I have stayed in. Very friendly staff and great organised tours make it a fantastic hostel.

Located in the heart of Old Town the hostel is easy to find, we even had several locals point us in the right direction as soon as they saw our rucksacks. The hostel is split into two wings which are located next door to each other. While the hostel is a bit more expensive than usual by Eastern European standards you are paying for the location.
Hostel old town offers laundry services, a decent kitchen and a pub crawl. The staff are friendly and there is a good party vibe.

We travelled as a family with two older teenage boys. We don't usually stay at hostels but found the location and experience of a hostel would fit well in Kotor. I was really pleasantly surprised. We stayed in two rooms with a shared bathroom and the rooms were very clean in a nice historic building with modern amenities. There was a kitchen available and a dining room. The staff at the hostel could not have been nicer and more helpful. We took a tour with them to a national park and lake with stops at some interesting places. The tour lasted all day long and it was really fun and well run. We were also heading to Tirana, Albania next and they had very reasonably priced van rides which made the trip really easy. Taking a bus from Kotor to Albania requires no less than two bus transfers. One night we ate dinner which was 4 euros per person. The dinner was ok but afterwards they make cocktails and all the people hang out and then go out together. My husband and I were a bit out of place so we begged off but our two kids absolutely loved their their night out. They really got to meet a lot of people including hostel staff and had a great time.

Everything at this hostel is well looked after, cared for, and clean. From our first moments at reception we felt taken care of, and very welcome by the staff. They brought us out to a very affordable and delicious bbq on the waterfront our first night so we could meet and mingle with other travellers, and then out for a very relaxed pub-crawl afterwards. I'm not a pubcrawl person, and have never dreamed on going on such a thing. But the way this was organized - so laid back, all bars in great locations in the small old town - made for a great time. We probably would have liked to find exactly those bars to drinks at anyway, and it was nice to make them feel a little pleasantly crowded while we were there. Not to mention the crawl was only a few euro!! The kitchens are numerous and spacious, as are the washrooms. I stayed in a dorm (loved it - not too noisy, good crowd, full but not crowded), but the private rooms also look very nice. We met the cleaners in the rooms who were also very friendly. I kept the window closed, AC on, and didn't have a problem with street noise as some other reviews say. Awesome place. Stay here.
