We ate at Bastion III early this evening having read reviews on Tripadvisor. The location was easy to find - just outside the Northern city gate, across the river and it's there right in front of you. The only other patrons inside were a group of elderly local men chatting away over vast amounts of food and a bottle of red wine... This was looking promising!
We ordered a mixed starter of salami and cheeses, a meat grill (noticing on the menu that it was marked as 500g - that's a LOT of meat!), a grilled vegetable platter, and a goulash with mashed potatoes, with a bottle of red wine. We were hungry (and thirsty) having travelled all day!
We were not disappointed. The food was great, the service attentive but not overbearing, and we left happily stuffed :-) Highly recommended for good honest food at reasonable prices. Our bill was under €35 for the both of us, and really we could not have eaten one more mouthful.
