We came here as the reviews were so good. We booked a table before hand, which was a good job as they were very busy!! However, they did say on the phone they had high chairs but when we got there they didn't, which is a shame. Our waitress was very friendly, but I could tell she was very busy that night! She made some good recommendations for us as we couldn't decide what to eat off the menu. The food was delicious, even though mine was a little cold. The setting is lovely in a cute little courtyard and we must have come on a good night because they also had live music playing, so the atmosphere was lovely. A pleasant meal overall.

This restaurant is about a 5 minute walk from the old town but well worth the walk. Once we had found the restaurant, we ate there every night for the rest of our stay (4 times). I only wish we had found it sooner! Many of the restaurants in the old town are so touristy and overpriced, but Barakuda is a much classier place! Their menu is much more cosmopolitan and includes such delights as proscutio on a line and guilt fish served on a hot stone. (I am not going to say anymore about them as it would spoil the surprise for you, but I am sure that you will be impressed!) The ceasar salad starter with shrimps and the halibut parcel were other favourites.
The staff were lovely too. The waitress was excellent and looked after us so well. The kitchen is almost an 'open kitchen' so we could see the chef in action. the food was so delicious we felt we had to give him a clap after our meal.
I only wish Barakuda's could be transported to my home town!

This restaurant will give Galion a rough ride, both are great restaurants, Barakuda has the edge, vegetable dish with black olives was amazing, so tasty.
Suggest you keep to bottle wine, house wine was not as good as others we have sampled.
Waitress very pleasant and helpfull.

We came to Barakuda twice because it was so good and would really recommend it to everyone visiting Kotor. The menu was very varied (much more so than many of the menus in the restaurants in Kotor old town) and all of the dishes we had were delicious, particularly Japanese style prawns and the fish baked on a stone and then flambeed in vodka at the table! The view from the front of the restaurant was gorgeous but the terrace at the back was also lovely and we slightly preferred the terrace because it was set back from the road. One of the waitors spoke excellent English, which was also very helpful as our Montenegrin isn't that great! All in all, a restaurant not to be missed!! :)

We stayed in Muo, 20 minutes walk from Kotor Old Town, just around the bay.

Despite the number of apartment blocks around, there is a distinct lack of cafés, bars & restaurants in the vicinity, which is a pity.

One restaurant we found, Barakuda, (half way to the old town of Kotor) offers an impressive menu selection, serves great tasting food and service is spot on from the young, charming waiter. The food we had here (on two occasions) was delicious. His service was impressive for a relatively small establishment and his English was nearly word perfect (which helped enormously).

I would have no qualms about eating here again. In fact, I would prefer it to some of the pricey, over-rated tourist traps in the old town.
