We were overjoyed when we discovered The Winery. The interior is classy and cosy, the waiters are excellent and are not afraid to recommend certain wines on request. All the recommendations he made for us were spot on and different each time!

Although it doesn't serve food per se, there is a small delicatessen type bar where you can take your pick of olives, ham and cheeses to accompany your drinks. It's also located right next to Hotel Hippocampus so would be a nice pre or post drink before an elegant dinner.

Highly recommended.

We only spent three days in Kotor, Montenegro but we kept ending up at the same place. We first came because we heard live music wafting down from the bar as we passed. As soon as we were thirsty we knew we wanted to go back there. The musicians were very talented, and when the music was not live they played a great combination of blues, jazz and other favorites. Inside the atmospheric bar there were many beautiful paintings that seemed to capture the feel of Kotor itself. We met many wonderful local people who were willing to stop and have lively conversations with us. They also serve local cheese and cured meats, a bonus since we got so caught up in conversation that we missed dinner. Also a plus is that they have both the local light beer as well as the local dark beer on tap. Our only regret is that we enjoyed the dark beer so much we never made time to try their great selections of local wines.

It was right across the alley from our apartment, so we decided to stop in for one glass of wine before heading home for the night. We had such a great time, we stayed for several hours. The waiter, bartender and owner introduced us to different types of regional wines and rakija, entertained us with stories about Kotar's history and gave great suggestions on where to go and what to see. And, the bar itself is beautifully done. We loved it so much we stopped by on our way out of town to say good-bye and grab a latte. Wish we had a similar wine bar in Atlanta!!

Such a great place to enjoy Montenegrin wine and a live piano and guitar play together with female singer. Me and my friends had an excellent time there together with tasty local smoked ham (prosciutto), local olives and a unique local cheese made of goat milk. Also the waiter was very friendly and with his splendid service fulfill all our wishes! :)
