“Small but nice”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Hotel is in the center of the Old town, but peace-full. .Small but comfortable and modern rooms . Breakfast was simple but tasteful. Surprise was slippers and bathrobe , which we did not get in a larger hotels. Small things make a difference.

Right in the old town area a block from the driving zone, Motel Emen provides hotel rooms and an apartment nearby. If you are driving, drive past all the people who tell you you cannot drive any further and look for their parking area between stalls on the border of the old town steps from the hotel. We had booked to stay in the apartment but when the internet did not work there, we moved to the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are adequate. The upstairs double rooms with a third bed have small bathrooms with showers only. Breakfast is great!

My husband and I stayed one night at the Emen. We booked the double room with the large terrace on the second floor. The room was comfortable with a separate small dining table and sitting area, adequate a/c, fridge, slippers, and a bathroom with a bathtub. The only negatives were that the tub had no curtain or shower door and the drapes in the room did not cover the whole window so you did get the sunshine early in the morning. Not a huge issue but still we could have slept until later if the windows would have been covered completely.

The staff was amiable and helpful and the a la carte breakfast was good. It can be taken at their outside restaurant, just in front of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is right inside the Old Town and very close to the old bridge. Our driver had a little difficulty finding the hotel, as it is located in the pedestrian only area of Mostar.Still the location is very good if you want to experience the Old Town.

Room Tip: Book a room with terrace/balcony but away from the front as there is some noise from bars/restaurant...

The hotel is a bit difficult to find, at the edge of the old city walking area. Check-In and Check-Out were fast. Breakfast was served outside, in the street, but service was slow, as there was only one waiter. Goof Wifi, free welcome drinks. Personal atmosphere.

The hotel is not big and the rooms are good enough. It stands just beside the old part of Mostar and a few steps from the famous Mostar bridge. The owner of the hotel is fantastic and not only offered us a drink at the arrival but one night also made a surprise offering a delicious home made baklava in our room. We also got a basket of fruits which was very kind of her. The star of this place is really the people of the hotel. You cannot find a place to feel more welcome than this one. The manager also did help us to arrange a decent transfer to Split by car. I deffinitly recomend it!!!

We had a real struggle finding this hotel - mainly due to the malfunction of our GPS and proximity to the pedestrian zone. My partner eventually found the hotel on foot and the bar tender from the hotel came back to our car, drove us the short distance to the hotel and actually parked our car. A very friendly and helpful introduction to the Motel Emen which continued throughout our stay. Our spacious room opened out to a large terrace and the bathroom had the usual toiletries. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is only a few minutes walk to the Mostar bridge and all the little shops and restaurants on both sides of the bridge.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. As others have mentioned, the location is around 50 metres or so from Mostar's main attraction, the Old Bridge (Stari Most) and you are right in the heart of the old town. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. Breakfast is included, but because I had a very early departure time and would miss breakfast they made me a packed lunch for the following day. The room was spotless and toiletries and a hair dryer are included. The wifi connection is also fast and reliable throughout. All things considered this hotel is an absolute gem and great value.

Room Tip: Room 103 has a huge terrace. It is actually a communal terrace but no-one else seems to use it and y...
