Oh yes!!Huge room and quiet

Review of Hotel Mepas
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Sept 2019via mobile
Everything was true about the hotel. The staff at the reception was just perfect, the cleaning ladies as well. Our room on the 9 floor was huge and clean with a beautiful view on the mountains.I love the soft carpet, the beige/brown colours.
And what I thought I would never do, take a room above the shopping mall, but the hotel rooms are on the 8 and 9 floor, and the shopping is from 1-3, so no noise or bustle.
Just love it, will come back only here.

Best hotel in 5 weeks - massive room, top floors of a mall but dont let that put you off - the convenience of pressing a button in the lift and being in a cinema, bowling, supermarket, McDonalds or historic town is great. Incredible pool, spa, gym and exclusively for guests so empty and amazing. Pricing good - the pictures of it dont do justice - a flawless stay - well done, dont for gods sake allow the property to be branded - it independant and the quality shows

Room tip: Power cuts in area in extreme weather - hotel has generator but internet interrupted - hell - the rest of the town was in darkness

Was very impressed with this hotel. It is hard to explain - it's built around a shopping centre. Everything is on your doorstep. Wouldn't even need to leave the building! Very plesent staff throughout the property - particular should out to the night porter and security man who was on duty. Very clean and good breakfast options. Swimming pool and steam room good - although very quiet and bar not stocked. Would love to return in the future.

Hotel is in a mall. Well, rooms are really nice and specious. It's a 15 minutes walk to old town, which is not bad. Breakfast is not that good, but it works.
Highlight to the service in frontdesk, specially from a lady I don't remember the name, but worked all weekend long. Really impressive! She was super nice to us! Congratulations for this great employee!!
Negative point in the room: the curtain was less wide then the glass window. So room was bright very early!

I’m giving this hotel a rating of 4 instead of 5 because I’m not sure it would meet most people’s definition of a 5 star hotel (I’d say more a 4). However, it is great value and we had a really enjoyable stay.

By far and away the biggest positive was the staff - quite simply they were lovely. Very friendly to our young children and very helpful to us adults. Any question we had they had clear answers and put a lot of thought into their suggestions. I can’t stand when you go to a hotel and ask them the most obvious question, where should we eat, and they stammer over the answer. Not at Mepas - go here, here or here. What should we go see? Go here, here and here. And so on for any questions we had.

I’d stay here again just for the staff. Oh and it does have a great pool area, one of the better indoor pool hotels I’ve experienced.
