“Great apartment with”
Reviewed 5 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My friends and i stayed here for one week and absolutely loved it. The apartment is lovely with a sea view and has it's own pool. Although on top of a hill it takes about 10 minutes to walk up and down with a bus stop which takes you straight to central Varna for nice restaurants and bars. There is also a bus stop opposite which takes you to the Golden Sands beach which has a great bar playing music and serves you drinks on the beach. There are also plenty of shops and even has a nightclub here if you're feeling up for a good night out. We found it easy enough to get around without the access of a car.
There was also a guy named Eddie who picked us up on arrival at the airport who was exceptionally friendly and took us to a local supermarket to get food. He also dropped us back off a week later. Although you have to pay for this service i would strongly recommend it as it saved us a lot of time and effort.
This villa can be used both for a relaxing holiday in the sun or a place of drinking with friends.
The one downfall we experienced was that taxi drivers try to rip you off. Be wary of this!

Myself and my family have stayed on monastery hill 4 times now.
We love the house and complex. The house is very modern with a nice terrace and balconies overlooking the sea and a rear balcony nice for reading in the afternoon. The house is modern with a large living room but you can see that in the pictures anyway.
Everything needed is provided all plates etc etc. we never find we are short of anything. On site there is a maintenance man "eddie" who looks after the complex he is always willing to offer help or information regarding the house or surrounding area.
The house is situated on a hill with a beautiful sea view. Its so nice to sit on the terrace with the kids playing in the pool looking out at the beautiful view.
Monastry hill is the perfect place to stay for us in all of varna. you are just 5 mins away from the resort of golden sands where you will find your usual resort type holiday. Golden sands is pretty much the same as any resort I've been to with a good mix of beach, bars , restaurants, shopping for nic nacs etc.
In golden sands is where you will find the bars nightclubs and bar crawl side of a holiday if thats what u like.
Directly at the bottom of monastery hill you will find the more upmarket but quieter resort of st constantin and elena. Most of the hotels in this beautiful resort are 4 and 5 star.
Its a beautiful resort with 3 beautiful mineral hot springs which are a great way to chill out in the early morning or early evening.
St constantin and elena is a much more sedate resort and is a bit of a hidden gem as none of the hotels are aimed at british tourists as opposed to golden sands where you will find many british and irish revellers.
The centre of Varna is a ten min drive away. Varna is a beautiful cosmopolitan vibrant city. It is known as bulgarias capital by the sea. The walking street is the beginning of the city centre and dotted through the shops cafes and restaurants you will find a beautiful cathedral and various fountains statues and beautiful architecture.
In between varna and mastery hill you will find The sea garden. The sea garden is probably 2 miles long running parallel to the beach it is set out in different spaces and in the sea garden you will find the dolphinarium which was probably the best dolphin show I've ever seen and the lowest priced. The sea garden is a great way to spend a day and during the summer it has a funfair which is beautifully lit at night time.
Bulgarian people have always been very hospitable to me and my family and we have made many lasting friendships with some of the locals on the hill and various business owners in the resorts. Food in bulgaria is very good and bulgarians take their food very seriously with meals lasting all evening. salad grilled meats and barbecued fish and seafood are the main part of summer menus.
You have to try Kufte a kind of beef and pork spiced meatball, absolutely delicious. Eating out is cheap and in varna centre we can eat a 3 course meal with wine and drinks for less than £30.
The resorts are a little more expensive and the food is not as good as in varna city but sometimes its nice to stay there for the atmosphere.
Well I pretty much give a full report. Most people say they want to go to BG because its cheap, honestly we went for the same reason but we returned again and again because of the natural beauty and the genuine warmth of the people. I hope you can find more that just a cheap place to escape to and find a home from home like we have.

Had an awesome time in the villa last year everything you need is there, was a little tricky finding it but we met Eddie the home help and he was great! loads of English t.v channels for the kids, Simply stunning views from every window, Weather was superb 34 degrees ay 1300hrs the supermarket down the road was great value good local rose wine £3 per bottle comparable with Jacobs creek! beer was average 30p per bottle and everything else was approx %60 cheaper then the UK. local bars restaurants gad great entertainment and good value food and great quality, Kabacum beach was a firm favourite with the bars open till late with the Ibiza style and music at a fraction of the price, a taxi from the beach is £4 approx. Met some lovely Danish families in the villa opposite and the kids played great in the pool late into the evening whilst the adults had a bbq and a little drink! (try the local rakia sold in the lane to the villa) so yes we would return for the wonderful surroundings and excellent views in a new modern villa. 5 star!
