We stayed at the Warthe for 3 nights. Our room had a large balcony, nice bathroom, and comfortable bed. The room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was excellent, the grounds were beautiful, and the building was full of green plants. The staff were helpful and spoke excellent English.
There was no air conditioner, but it wasn't needed, at least in mid-June, it was cool at night. There was also no refrigerator or kettle. Note, too, that the pensiunea does not have an elevator, and does not have disabled access.
If you take a taxi to the hotel, you'll go along a somewhat winding highway with no sidewalk. That is not the path to take to walk into town. There is a steep cobbled road from the Warthe all the way to the gate to the old city, it takes about 7 minutes to walk down and 10 to walk up, and is much shorter and safer than the highway route. It is a strenuous uphill walk, but doable, and there are always taxis if the hill is too steep.More
