Tiny, but interesting museum. The enthusiastic curator will show you around an old classroom and the other sights here. There are very old printed books and bibles, a printing press with associated tools, some old costumes, and more. We paid 5 lei per person to enter, plus a 3 lei fee for photo-taking.

Maybe the visit is better if you speak the local language? I didn't really like it but it seems the local kids (school projects) really liked it or was everything better than being in school?

An absolute treasure, full of old and intersting educational artifacts. There is no entrance fee although donations are warmly accepted. You can have an optional guided tour by the most charming old gentleman who is both knowledgeable and passionate about the museum and will accommodate your spoken language which is a bonus! The school is located next to a church which is great to have a peep inside!

The place is great, with original furniture, but there are no signs in English. It was a disappointment, since the place is recommended in all guidebooks.

This is truly a gem in Brasov old town! The schoolbuilding - itself nicely restored- sits on the grounds of the St, Nicolas church and is maintained and well cared for by its priests. There is a wonderful old school room with its customary gadgets, but upstairs is a truly astounding collection of ancient, some very ancient books and not just bibles. There is an old printing press, which is demonstrated upon request, and the priests will sell you their books describing the collection in detail with illustrations (unfortunately only in Roumenian). This is a treasure of immense cultural value which UNESCO should take into protection - thefts have taken place already. The priest we talked to said he has a house with twelve rooms full of such ancient books, which were given to him in protection against the communist regime. He needs a team of assistants who read old chruch slavonic and cyrliic!!!!
