We booked one night at this hotel at the end of our stay as it was near the airport. Booked through Booking.com and have done a review with them but they, or the hotel have chosen not to print it.
The hotel is annexed to ranch for very expensive horses. It is certainly not a one-night stopover - especially out of season. When we arrived a few days ago it was virtually closed and guarded like Fort Knox. We were the only 'guests' as far as we could see. The place was in darkness and the guy in reception did not speak any English. The restaurant advertised was closed. Courtesy of two Swedish horse trainers we managed to get some food and order a taxi for an early morning departure. They also told us it was not safe to leave the premises, hence the guards. When we awoke at 5.30am the hotel was deserted. We were going up and down corridors, into the kitchen and dining room shouting to try and find someone there for some time before someone appeared (it was rather like a horror film) . We did get our car to the airport and I have never been so glad to get out of somewhere, then the car tried to charge us equivalent to half our hotel room for the night for a 7 minute drive!! Beware travellers, what you are looking for and make sure it is really OPEN before you book!
