“Caught in Time….”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Wonderful place, with parts dating back to the 9th century. Colourful and ecletically decorated, with everything from a 700yr old marriage contract to 1930's china ladies. Bathroom particularly nice,as is the kitchen. You get the feeling that the inhabitants have just gone out…but may be back soon. Cafe closed when we were there, but there are plenty of others around. English info sheet easy to follow with main sights pointed out. Go!

Reviewed 29 April 2014

Really brilliant museum for authentic feel of Tunisian life. Wonderful to see how life was lived as a home and thewomen kept seperate from visiting men, let alone the love lives, check the size of the lamp.

“The rooftop cafe is worth a visit”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

We go here most times we are in Sousse for a visit to the rooftop cafe with views over Sousse. The house is very interesting as well and there is always something new we notice and are interested in.
