I have just come back from a 2 week all inclusive stay at this hotel. There were 6 adults in our party that went to this hotel. I cannot fault it in anyway whatsoever. The food was good always something different to eat. The drinks were ok but the cocktails always had too much lemon in them. The hotel was always clean and tidy and the rooms were cleaned every single day we were there. The beach was beautiful with its own food area and bar which was also included in your stay. I f you stay at the marhaba club you can also use the sister hotel marhaba for food and drinks which are also included in your all inclusive package. The pool area was small but you could also use the other pool at the marhaba side. The restaurants outside were amazing and the food was great and it was cheap to eat out.
We ate at a seafood restaurant which was 4 courses for 30 dinar ( £12.00 pp) this also included bread and nibbles as well as your 4 course meal it was excellent value for money and the different fish was great. ( clams, octopus, red snapper, groupe, sword fish, giant prawns etc).
We also ate at the steak house this also was good value for money and good food. ( 16.00pp, including 6 beers, 2 cokes and 2 bottles of rose wine).
On our last evening there we ate at a very nice restaurant just down the road from the hotel this was amazing. The interior of the restaurant was out of this world. The food was great and the service was brilliant. This also cost about ( £16.00pp including drinks) . That included starters , main and complimentary free dessert ( lemon sorbet ice cream with vodka).
The prices for the above restaurants are depending on what you have to eat but all dishes are very cheap.
The excursions were out of this world all 6 of us went on the 2 day sahara trip , an experience not to be missed, we also did the african dream ( zoo and 4 course meal followed by entertainment, zulu,s).
The ladies in our group 3 of us went on the goods and grapes excursion this was brill. It means shopping and wine tasting in a vineyard followed by lunch.
In the 2 weeks we were there we never had a bad experience. The locals are very friendly and helpful. We went into sousse to the medina ( market) by the noddy train it must be tried, and into port el kantouie which was also by noddy train, we walked around the marina beautiful.
Would definatly be going back again.
We changed rooms from ground to second floor with no problem. But this was only because of people coming and going.

Room Tip: Would recommend a room upstairs as can be noisy on the ground floor as people arriving with suitcase...

This Hotel has the potential to be very good but beware:
Air Con is turned off no matter what 1st Oct
Nice pool pity about the thick tide line off scum around the water level
Pool Bar black mould growth under counter of pool bar, loads of tiles in pool missing
A lot of the entertainment and mini market is at the sister Hotel not at the Club
Rooms very basic and with no air con unbearable, Food would be fine if warm.
Staff very friendly. No lounge to drink in only reception and with a lot of people all trying to use wi fi in reception the quality of signal was not good. THIS WAS A THOMAS COOK HOLIDAY

They say first impressions count, and from entering the reception area of this hotel, I began to have misgivings. The furnishings were stained and tatty and there were very few staff about. I had paid an upgrade fee for a seaview room but was given a poky little room with a very poor view of the inner grounds. On complaining to reception the room was changed to a larger room but still no seaview, and with a damp, musty bathroom.. When I raised this with the holiday rep, she spoke to reception and was told that there would only be a seaview room available the following day. It only actually became available at lunchtime but was ok if a bit tatty. The buffet food was seldom hot and always covered in flies, in fact both my husband and myself had severe tummy upsets lasting past the duration of the holiday, the food choice was poor too. There was nothing at all to do in the evenings but sit around reception where the bar service was very slow due to too few staff. There was no outside seating or bar service in the evenings unless you went to the adjoining hotel, where the entertainment was laid on to service 3 hotels. There were never any seats available and getting a drink was a joke. It was also very lively so if you wanted to sit out with a quiet drink you were out of luck. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but it was clear that the hotel was being run on a shoestring. The cleanliness of the toilets in the public areas left a lot to be desired.

Room Tip: This would be a struggle as the room we ended up with was very basic and was obviously one of the be...

Me and my partner travelled with Thomas cook. Originally booked hotel marharba and were switched to marharba club as hotel marharba has closed for maintenance. However Thomas cook LIED as it was very much still open!

Thomas cook failed to advise us that we had to fill in a form at the airport, any people traveling to Tunisia I advise you take a pen as there are none available in the airport.
We arrived at a dirty hotel and after the ignorant reception staff giving us our wristbands went to the main restaurant which was like a school canteen swamped with flys and unclean looking staff members.

During our stay we were both not only fed up of the food but were also both I'll from it. We ate at the pool bar most nights as it was cleaner and more chilled out than the main restaurant.
The staff outside were very pleasant and the pancake man was brilliant.

I had an eyeliner stolen from my room - can only assume this is the cleaner - little value but an inconvenience never the less! Reported this to the thomas cook rep who did NOTHING.

We were made aware that the tunisian dinar is a closed currency but before we left we asked the rep how much money we would need for the airports duty free section, he advised us how much money we would need in Tunisian dinar so we swapped money at the hotel to use in the airport. This resulted in us waiting for 40 minutes and loosing a percentage in the proces at the airport when swapping back.

Couldn't wait to get home, worst holiday I have ever been on.

Complained to Thomas cook and after a phone call and 2 letters to them they have still refused to compensate us in any way!

Completely shocked that such a big company can't deal with complaints atall.

Genuinely - do not go to this hotel, it was hideous. Not one good point apart from the weather, the only bit that Thomas cook can't control!!!

On arrival we discovered a painter painting our room, and a unmade bed. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room, the airconditioning didn't work, there was a missing light and the room was generally unclean. We booked through Thomas Cook and paid more than we wanted to, we were sold a four star all inclusive holiday, whilst it is all inclusive holiday it is by no means four star, at best the hotel is two star. The hotel is in need of extensive renovation and a lick of paint won't fix it. The food is ok,the pool is good. We raised our issues with the Thomas Cook rep who spoke to the manager and didn't get it resolved.
