It was one of the good holidays I've had, the staff are very helpful and kind. Especially the restaurant staff, they make you so welcome! Made good friends with hamza (crepe boy)hehe such a lovely person to talk to. The animation team are amazing. Sabri, Kiko, Ramzi, Salem, Maya, Elias and Joe, couldn't of met better people to make my holiday so enjoyable. They are so friendly and funny, there was never a dull moment around the pool with them! The food was very nice and presented well. The hotel room wasn't very clean on a downside. Wouldn't have to think twice about going back, 2 weeks back at home and I still have the holiday blues! Would recommend this hotel to people who love the beach as it is literally past the pool, love great animation all day everyday and very polite people who work at this hotel'

Before booking I sampled some of the reviews here on TA and decided to give the hotel a fair chance. Upon arrival the desk-clerk tried to con us out of DT240 to upgrade to a sea-view room. Having checked in (around 3:00pm) we were taken to our room by the ‘obligatory’ bell-hop expecting a tip to find that the room was not yet ready and still being cleaned etc.

The whole hotel is showing signs of its’ 13 year age. Numerous bulbs need replacing to brighten the interior. The ‘centre-piece’ chandelier in the lobby has more bulbs out than working. Oh! And a good coat of paint would not go amiss to brighten the whole interior up as well….and to revitalise the exterior where the old paint has flaked away revealing bare cement rendering.

The carpets in the hall-ways are tired and smell.

In our room one light over the bed was out for the whole week. There were only four clothes-hangers available in the cupboards. The beds are simply chip-board boxes containing two mattresses. One of the ‘boxes’ had come apart revealing screw-heads that my wife managed to cut her leg upon. There was one rickety chair in the room. The television received only two ‘english’ channels, neither of which are watchable as the signal received by the set is so poor. A refrigerator lurked within a cupboard with badly fitting doors…the noise made by the refrigerator was exceeded only by the noise of the air-conditioning when trying to run it at maximum speed. On the balcony were a few slats of wood nailed together to make two chairs and a table. On one day the room was not cleaned/changed. After alerting reception, however, it was done. The next day the chamber-maid harangued me and asked if there was a problem When I said that the room had not been serviced the maid said that it was her day-off. Hmm? So no-one else on the floor had their room serviced that day either? Right!

The lobby houses a number of tired and worn-out chairs and sofas with smooth, greasy arms. It also perpetually smells of the odours from the dining area which opens directly on to it. The degree of odour depends, of course, upon the variety of fare they are serving that day.

As regards the food on offer, considering that the vast majority of guests using the hotel are variously….German, Russian, Ukranian, Polish, French, etc. it does little for European palettes. Oh! And if you should go there and want to have the mousse for your dessert do NOT ask the waiter for a teaspoon to eat it with…..they carry them around in their trouser pockets!!!

Bizarrely, considering that the overwhelming majority of guests are ‘all inclusive’ there is a hotel rule that states ‘no food or drink to be brought into the hotel’. If you are ‘all inclusive’ why would you want to? We were half-board and wanted some bottled-water to avoid drinking the tap-water. We were stopped at the gate and told that we could not take it in. Personally I do not consider water to be ‘food or drink’. When I said that we could not drink the tap-water he questioned who said we could not drink it. Obviously he needs to do some research! After ‘putting my parts on’ some more the ‘security’ guard allowed me to go to our room and retrieve a knap-sack to put the bottles in before going into the lobby. While I was away getting the knap-sack my wife some a number of people returning from a day out with half-drunk bottles of water in their hand and being made to leave the bottles at the gate.

Why, Oh! Why do they have a children’s disco every night from 8:30pm to 9:30pm? I’m sorry but….young children should be in bed long before that. And if it actually started at 8:30pm you were lucky….usually it became 8:45pm. Then the ‘little darlings’ were allowed to roam around interfering in the adult ‘entertainment’ on offer. (Okay….it’s not the hotel’s fault if parents cannot be responsible but having a mini-disco that late is far from responsible as well.) Oh! And they need to find another CD with children’s music….hearing the same tracks, in the same order, for seven nights in a row becomes rather more than tedious.

Good bits?......There are some? The grounds were kept clean, there was always a plentiful supply of hot water for showering, the service by the waiters dispensing drinks in the evening.

Bottom line….we will not be going back there….and I would suggest that you do not go there to find out for yourselves. Just stay away.

Room Tip: I don't know that there are any....

Had a rest in hotel in August, a family with the child of 6 years. The hotel is very conveniently located. Nearby the central street with shops and city transport. The hotel has the beach within walking distance. Lived in the room overlooking the central exit. To the room occupied quickly. To the room everything perfectly worked. Cleaned the room qualitatively and changed linen every day. The great value of hotel is its personnel. Here very pleasant people work. Even when in hotel there were many tourists the personnel tried to make rest of each tourist pleasant and comfortable. The attitude towards tourists doesn't depend on tip. At restaurant always the wide choice of food, is a lot of sweets and fruit. Waiters were very attentive and careful. In hotel excellent and talented team of animators work for 100% and in day and evening programs. Special thanks to animators of Kiko and Ramzi. The chief of the animation Ilyas team causes delight. It was cheerful and interesting both to adults and the child.
