Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have even gave us Xmas present - small handmade bag with elephant. It was so lovely, we have got for the first time in our lives present from the hotel staff :) Hotel was quiet, wi-fi was stable and fast, A/C in the room was working wery well. Staff organized the bus to Bagan, but what we didn't liked, we have asked 2 hours later check-out than official time is declared and hotel asked for these 2 additional hours almost half of the regular stay for one day. Of course, we refused.
Breakfast was a disaster - it was the worst breakfast in our travel around Maynmar. When we came to eat the breakfast in the first morning, it was fun situation: we were standing and looking to each other by saying: "What to eat here?" I will try to upload the picture: there were only rice, noodles (pasta), not properly cooked omelette (egg yolk was not even hardened), potatoes, cooked corn and some kind of vegetarian stuff. That's it, folks! No meat, no eggs, no cheese - nothing. Only basic rice, corn, potatoes and so on :) Enjoy your meal if you'll find what to eat here :)
Hotel offers free bikes to ride in the city, but they looks terrible - old and unrealiable. When we asked how to lock the bike, one of staff members couldn't even properly lock and unlock the padlock on the bike. So we decided to go on foot, because nobody of us wanted to ride so old and scary bike.
Location of the hotel is bad. It's far away from everything (and I don't understand why people are saying, that the location is very good). It's not true. Mandalay Palace, Kuthodaw Pagoda and Mandalay hill with all the pagodas are 3-5 km away. I am not talking even about the distance to U-Bein bridge. It's sad to say, but I wouldn't stay in this hotel if I would come to Mandalay again. There much better places to stay in Mandalay.
