Stacks of character Villa Ban Lakkham we just loved the view while having breakfast, the monks crossing the river in the distance, little boats fishing, although across the road this was no problem. Small coal fires were placed under our feet to keep us warm on the early mornings as turned a little cool, then heated up by 10am. Staff very friendly, good breakfast including the local cuisine. Balcony a real winner. Comfortable room, with everything you need, being an old building you could hear now and then a little noise although this was no major problem as other important points made up for it. We did hear a lot of noise outside one evening in one of the restaurants opposite once, but it was a party and could happen anywhere. So easy to walk into town, and for the early rise for seeing the Monks. The free tuk-tuk worked really well, available for trips around town & bikes were always available. We stayed five nights to relax after Cambodia. It is located in the quieter area of town, also close for boat trips up Mekong.
