“We regret not staying longer”
Reviewed 28 January 2014 via mobile

I cant imagine why anyone would pay more for a hotel in LP. This place is so serene, so beautiful, stylish and clean and the service is exceptional. The suggestions given to us by the manager really made our trip. If your time is limited, just ask JP where to go and what to see.
Thank you all for a lovely lovely stay.

Our family of 4 recently stayed at Bel Air during and after a family wedding that was held there. The location is unparalleled, and the staff go out of their way to be helpful and to provide very high quality service. Bungalows have balconies which overlook the Mekong, and lots of small touches like citronella burners to keep mossies away made this hotel easy to recommend to others. Massages can be arranged while lounging on a deck chair under the palms on the Mekong riverside. The ever helpful Mr Oun helped with everything else we needed-onwards transport and accommodation, tailoring, SIm cards etc etc. We all loved this establishment and the Bel Air staff. Thanks to GM "happy-Jean" as my kids referred to him, for such a memorable experience.

Have traveled a lot and am not easily won over. We loved this place. Very cozy in a cool riverside location. Rooms are pristine and have the soul of Laos with beautiful wood plus the best of modern facilities. Breakfast outside on the terrace looking out on the river is sublime. Grab a free bike and you are in the center of town in about five minutes. Staff is solid and JP the manager is very welcoming and a great resource for things to do. Rent a moped and head out to one of the waterfalls by yourself. A highlight of our trip.

Dear epwill,

Thank you for staying with us and for leaving us such a shiny review. It was very nice to meet you and to have you with us. It is great to hear that you found everything to your satisfaction. I do recommend scooters to those confident at riding motorbikes. They are not necessary in order to have fun, of course, however they really do help open up possibilities to explore the countryside at ones own leisure. Thank you again for choosing Le Bel Air and all the best to you on your adventures.

Best regards,

Jean-Paul

Stayed two nights in Luang Prabang and really enjoyed our stay at La Bel Air. The manager gave us some great advice on what to do and got us an English speaking driver to take us on our adventure. The breakfast was great...especially the pastries. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in Le Bel Air December 2013. JP was the niecest and most helpful host you can ever imagine. We canceled our stay in another hotel to stay one more night in Le Bel, and JP upgraded us to a bigger bungalow. All rooms are beautiful and spotless, but it is well worth getting the bungalow if you can. Getting into town is great fun, they provide free bikes for all guests to use anytime , which is the best way to explore Luang Prabang anyway. Only 5 minute cycle away to the night market and all the restaurants.. No doubt I will stay in Le bel next we we visit Laos. Thank for all your help Jean-Paul you made our stay ;-) Katrina & Breon

Room Tip: All rooms are nice but Bugalows are gorgeous

We stayed two nights at Le Bel Air and it was a pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings. It is a charming resort with big rooms with a balcony (Classic Garden Riverside). The staff were friendly with a pleasant attitude. The restaurant served a excellent breakfast and a good variety of dishes during the day. It easy to recommend La Bel Air when in Bagan.
