My girlfriend and I stayed at the Manichan for 6 nights and we were very impressed. Peter and his wife were very friendly and made our stay feel very welcomed and comfortable.

One thing that really impressed me was that we had originally boooked a room with a/c at $28. After two nights Peter came up to us and told us that he wasn't going to charge us the extra $4 for aircon because. He did so because he realized that the weather had cooled and a/c wasn't needed (we actually never used it too). So we saved $4 a night and ended up paying only $24 per night for a nice loooking, comfortable room.

By the way, the breakfast is fantastic and the potatoes are very tasty! :) And the location is perfect!

While walking around looking for an inexpensive guesthouse in LP me and my Belgian friends stumbled accross Manichan Guesthouse, where we decided to stay for a few nights.

The location of the guesthouse is perfect, in a peaceful back-street, though very close to the city centre. The rooms and shared bath room were cosy, well-equipped and very clean.

It was great to be welcomed by a fellow Belgian, and both Peter and Manichan went out of their way to provide us with any information and reply to any questions we had.

If I were to advise one thing, it'd be to provide an internet connection/WiFi as many travellers appreciate this small asset. This is only a luxury item though as internet cafes are just a short stroll away :)

Keep up the good work guys. Really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back one day !

Kind regards,

Sven Delmeiren
