“Average Hotel outside town centre”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2012

We booked 3 rooms in this hotel, one suite and 2 superior deluxe rooms. The suite was of good size and was located on the first floor. The deluxe rooms are below ground smaller and quite dark. Eventhough the rooms were large they were not practical: A huge bathroom without the possibility to hang up something, all showers were leaking, a balcony (for the suite) without furniture etc. Cleanliness was not great. Many dead insects lying around.
We chose this hotel because of the swimming pool which was nice, but during our 4 day stay we never saw it cleaned.
Breakfast was very simple and ok.
This hotel is located on a main road outside of town centre.
I would not go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the ground or first floor, those in the basement are dark and have view at a stone...

Spacious, quiet rooms, nice pool and helpful staff. LIttle bit removed from the main town area, but only a short bike or tuk tuk ride. We chose this property for its size and pool - we don;t like big resorts. Loved Luang Prabang and will vist Laos again. Had a great day Zip Lining and also at Khounsi waterfall.

The room was excellent comfort, large and spacious. I loved the bath room so much. The pool was great for our children to relax when they backed from the tours. The hotel located in very quiet place with huge nature so it was the best to relax after many noisy city in Asia. The tuk tuk will take you wherever you one at the lobby of hotel. We had a great stay with friendly, helpful staff from the moment we arrive till we left.
Tps: Phousi mountain, Kuang Si waterfall a must place to visit.

This place was very good in some ways, but I felt the small things that were not so good about it, let it down. The positives were that our room was a large size (we booked the suite), it had good natural light, it had a comfortable bed, nice TV, large bathroom. Everything seemed quite newly renovated and had nice, modern decorations, however several things were not properly completed, or completed to a poor standard, and this gave the room a bit of an odd/dodgy feel. For example, the shower did not drain properly and leaked (a lot) in to the bathroom, the bathroom roof leaked, the mat in the bedroom had not been vacuumed when we arrived, the light fittings were crooked and one had not been replaced etc.
The staff were friendly. The location is not the best, but the hotel does have bikes to rent, so you can ride in to town easily, and it is fun to ride around town. The pool is small and had quite a bit of dirt/dust in it. However perhaps this is normal in a place like Laos that is very dusty.

Booked our stay and paid through Agoda in Feb. Sent email 3 days before arrival to make sure all was good - got reply back all okay. Met in airport by Mr. La and he told us he had overbooked his hotel....Did get us into other accommadation but can only ask how can this happen and why were we not told in email????? We did stay at Arissara for the last three night - but must say we were a little dissapointed. The rooms are a very good size but not the cleanest of places( dirty floors), marks on walls, mosquitoes in rooms, smelly drains, dirty mats.....Mr. La's staff are very helpful and try their best but have limited English. Do feel we paid good money and did not receive top service from start to finish.

We can not recommend this guesthouse highly enough. We were greeted at the airport and taken straight to the hotel for no extra charge, and upon our arrival, to our surprise, we were upgraded to a superior suite, also free of charge. The room was incredible - the bathroom alone was larger than all of the hostel rooms we had stayed at previously!! The facilities were amazing: restaurant, pool, in-house massages, air conditioning, cable TV, internet... The hotel even booked tours to local sights for us, such as Kuang Si Waterfall. The service was fantastic, extremely friendly, and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay (a special thanks to Aloo - thanks for all your help!). It is a leisurely ten-minute stroll to the main street of LP, meaning that we were away from all the hustle and bustle. We loved Arissara House!

Stayed here for 6 nights and met most if not all of the staff. I can't say enough about how nice the staff is. Most are college students and they have very long days with school and work. Never fail to be engaging and helpful.

The rooms are as stated in other reviews...big and beautiful...good value. The location is a bit out of the way but not an obstacle. Air quality in LP during March is terrible.
