We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Luang Prabang, we were so pleased to have chosen the luang say residence.
Beautiful rooms, well appointed with fresh fruit daily.
Lovely breakfasts, amazing evening meals and fantastic puds. Try the fresh spring rolls - delicious!
The bar area was cosy with an open fire to keep the chill away, the staff were attentive, polite and very helpful. A special thanks to sak - who was fabulous!
Great pool, everything pristine and clean.
Slightly on outskirts, but this allowed for a more relaxed holiday . Hotel provides a Free shuttle bus into town in the evenings.

Spent New years eve and a few days after at the Luang Say residence and you could not fault anything. On top of the beauty of the place, the extreme cleanliness and the attention to details - small locally sourced gift every night with turnover service for example-, it is really the extreme friendliness of the management and the staff that made the experience unforgettable.

This fabulously beautiful hotel only has four stars, due to difficulty upon checking in, as there was a booking problem. In fairness, everything else about this unique hotel was remarkable - from the suites to the food, both breakfast and dinner. We are not the traveler that arrives and eats at their hotel, but after the first night's dinner (because we arrived so late), we just had to experience the chef's renditions again. Our suite was huge and overlooked the other suites of this small hotel. Luxury here! We also, loved the colonial architecture.
I would highly recommend staying here, even with our difficulty as the problem that we had with our two suites, was handled badly by an "intern". The management's fault was not training the intern to know how to handle difficult situations.

Room Tip: Chose the suite with the baloney in the main hotel which overlooks the other sections of the hotel...

Roomy group in stylish pavilions, ton background, hot grounds by means of unusual plant and lily pool, epicure eating place, records, well-known saloon, outside swimming pool. The concierge, Santi, organised my day trips and made sure everything was triple confirmed!

We travelled for a month in Vietnam,Cambodia and Laos and this was by far the best hotel of any we stayed in. The rooms are large ,clean, huge bathroom, balcony ,the service in the restaurant was outstanding . The staff always happy and polite . This was a fantastic way to end our holiday and if we were to return would stay there again.

Second stay at the Luang Say Residence.
The location, 10 minutes away from the peninsula, is great because very quiet.
The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, well equipped, overlooking beautiful gardens
The colonial spirit of this property is very strong which makes it even more charming.
The staff and the service are just outstanding and our dining experience was also very good.
I will return soon!!!

Stayed four nights in this beautiful property. Service was friendly and genuine, always smiling and trying to make you feel welcome and happy. The concierge, Santi, organised my day trips and made sure everything was triple confirmed! Loved the Tamarind Cooking Course and the Shangri Lao Elephant Camp. I would recommend a sunset boat trip up the Mekong on a local boat as this was one of the highlights. The pioneer suite was devine. A huge room which was so quiet you could only hear insects and birdlife outside. The pool was perfect as was the restaurant with it's excellent food and service. I truly loved this place and Luang Prabang in general. I'd live to come back soon!
