Very basic steam rated excellent because the women were nearly all local who were happy to chat when drinking tea between steams, as a tourist opportunities to talk to the local women is limited. So go and enjoy the experience.

As I walked thru the night market street, I found there are many massage parlors that also cost about the same price that with better surrounding inside the room.

Since it is for a good cause (the money goes to aids those in need), i can live with that.

I just thought it is cold to have only my boxer only inside a makeshift room. I recommend during winter go when there is a sunlight!!!!

Overall experience is average. Will try the steam bath tomorrow.

The welcome is clearly not the strong point of the staff but it worth the wait.
I got a male masseur and he asked whether I liked it strong or light. I said strong. He clearly made a hell of a job there. After this, no more back stiffness and a feeling of deep relief.

The price is the cheapest you can find in the city and, yet, I couldn't find such massages in other massage centres!

It's very basic, but the massage (I had foot, my wife had Laos) was perfectly in line for 40,000 each. That's just over $5 for an hour. You won't write home about the massage, but you certainly won't regret it.

I guess it's a bit like anywhere, it may depend on who you get on whatever day you're there, but it appears the massage here is generally and consistently good. The sauna is hellishly hot, which is strangely great in this pretty hot place. The cost is about average for the town, but you get a real hour's massage, and as long as you like (or you can stand!!!!) in and out of the sauna, so all up budget for 50,000 Kip (at the moment that's around $6-$6.50).
