Gi here if you have book you are done with and want to trade it for another. English speaking help and a friendly gathering place for local families-nice place right in the middle of town.

You can buy a couple of books here and they will added to the library collection and taken out to the surrounding villages. It is a valuable service.

We had the Library on our list of places to visit in LP on interest sake alone. We then visited Tamnak Lao Restaurant and they have a connection with the Library. So the Library became a definite and we visited it the next day.

The Lubrary has a wall devoted to collecting books for outlying village children. The idea is that you buy books from the Library (with a good range of various levels of education) at very acceptable prices then put them into sleeves on the wall. When the 'wall' is full they are delivered to the various villages.

A small taste of philanthropy to a good cause as there is no middlemen siphoning off their share of donations.

We were walking past the library when we saw a sign outside the front saying you could buy books for children/villages. So we went inside and did exactly that. You pick the books you want, and can make other donations. The staff inside were lovely to talk to as well.

There is no limit to using the computer. There are excellent books in the library, taking into consideration that Laos is a poor country and there is a high illiteracy rate.
