The hotel room is large enough and the staff was extremely attentive in bringing extra pillows and a work area for a computer. The bathtub is dated and a shelf seems to be falling apart. But the quality of the bath amenities was high. We stayed in the annex for 3 nights and the A/C worked fine, although at this time of year, you do not need much. The hotel does have a sister resort located about 5k away and guests at the in town site have access to the spa and facilities. The in town hotel is centrally located, just steps from the alms collection route of the monks and near to the Mekong River. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, and the breakfasts in the hotel were excellent.

We stayed in the the Junior suite in the annex, which was spacious, well equipped and had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The bathroom was spacious and had a huge bathtub to relax in, which is prefect after trekking in the jungle .The location of the Villa Santi is perfect for all the sights, the night market, palace and the entrance to Mount Phou Si are all on the same road.)

The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and unusually for Laos the restaurant had a good selection of vegetarian meals .

The Villa Santi has a charming appearance from the street and offers a great location for enjoying the night market, having dinner or raising early and walking less than 100 meters to experience the monks collecting Alms. Unfortunately the rooms are in need of refreshing, in particular the bathrooms which are dark and poorly lighted. In contrasted the bedroom is well lighted which only better highlights the worn floor, chipped paint and dark/dreary furniture. While the garden is delightful it brings with it ants which were found in both the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast is average and surprisingly serves croissants and baguettes which have the texture of being a day or two old. I say surprisingly since there are some wonderful French bakeries in town offering much fresher breads.

We found Villa Santi Hotel & Resort, Luang Prabang in Tripadvisor review; made reservations for 3 nights, in Oct. 2013 through Booking.com;as advised we were glad to book the rooms in Annex building. It is advisable to make reservation at least 3-4 months prior to the tour.
This hotel has Electric shuttle mini-van which can take 7 persons with luggage; the complimentary Airport pick-up & drop service both ways was very well attended. This is quite a posh hotel having most envious location; Good Reception & welcome; rooms promptly allotted on arrival, which is an essential service after a tiring International flight.
The staff is well trained in their respective jobs, efficient, very friendly, professional and accommodating. The restaurant provides tasty meals. Good spread for breakfast buffet, cooked - full English plus; service with a smile. Rooms are spacious, clean, well-provided, nicely decorated & comfortable. Complimentary Tea/coffee facility, hot water kettle & enough drinking water bottles provided.
About 5 kms away this hotel owns Santi Resort & Spa which has a Grand full-flagged hotel, spread over a huge property; with lavishfive star facilities of Boarding, Lodging, Dining, Swimming, Massage, Garden, etc. The town hotel provided regular to-&-fro shuttle services to all its guests to enjoy the Resort as an in-house member. Incidentally, this resort is on way to the magnificent multi-stage Kwangsi Waterfall, ideal place to enjoy whole day pic-nick and swimming.
The Buddhist Cultural Alms-Giving Ceremony; can be witnessed daily just in front of this hotel; Hundreds of monks walk daily alongside at dawn collecting alms, rice, food, fruits by kneeling before villagers and tourists. Within walking distance we enjoyed a very good and reasonable Massage at Hibiscus Parlor.
Although, room tariff is quite high, yet this hotel offers good value for money due to its excellent location on the main road, Nadeuy Road, Ban Nadeuy is where all the interesting activities take place; tourists walk around; there is no traffic or crowd. On this road within walking distance are number of Restaurants, cute shops selling local curios, artifacts, laundry, massage joints, cycle hiring. Don’t miss the night market, where traders range from young children to the elderly women who usually make the items they sell. Good-natured moderate bargaining, just for fun is advisable, but don't obsess over this and ruin your experience as well as giving the locals a bad day. Just casual strolling on this main road is quite enjoyable & relaxing.
I strongly recommend staying at.Villa Santi Hotel & Resort Luang Prabang. I would definitely prefer to stay here again.

We spent two nights at the Villa Santi and particularly enjoyed the lovely setting and grounds -- little bridges over running water, lotus blossoms in the lake, rice paddies framed by mountains. The room itself was comfortable, though the bathroom was small. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
