Stayed here for 3 nights in July. Pictures give a false impression of what you get. We were taken to a room away from the main hotel, across the road which wasn't what we were expecting and you don't feel as though you are actually staying in a hotel. It was more like a room rental. We were escorted to our room but had to carry our own luggage up a large, steep flight of stairs as there are no lifts. The building we were in is an old and quite charming building but not at all like the main hotel which is what you think you are getting. The staff were not really very helpful and didn't seem to know about any trips etc. We did enquire about breakfast and they didn't seem to know how much it would be but said that it was a la carte and around $22 per person. The plunge pool is ok to cool down in but there are no sun loungers and just a couple of rickety chairs and tables to sit at. There are no pool towels available but you can bring down the towel from your room. On the plus side, it is in a great location, with lots of shops and bars close by. This hotel was not at all comparable to other boutique style hotels of a similar price that we stayed in during our trip.

Just arrived back from a great trip to Laos, our first hotel in luang probang one of the nicest hotels ive stayed in , the scenery around the hotel breathtaking with mountain s and green fields, a great place to start our holiday experience, our hotel 10 mins from centre but not a problem as they offer a free shuttle bus, our room very spacious and staff very friendly. Our guide Sai was fantastic , such a happy man and always full of information about places we were to visit, the culture, the people and way of life.Laos is a beautiful place and when i go back i will ask for Sai.

Comfortable « palatial » garden setting. Balcony breakfasts provided direct view to teeming life on the street. On route of alms-giving ritual. Walking access to almost every point of interest or drop-off point on our itinerary.
