“Something different on the other side of the river”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Nice and simple restaurant. There are only 5-6 pizza's to pick from. Drink choices of wine, beer or soft-drink. Pizza's are 40000-60000 kip. Wine is 30000kip/glass.

We arrived at 5:00 (travelling with a 3yo and 5mo) - hard to tell whether it was open or not. The ladies were busy setting up but were happy for us to sit down.

We quickly ordered and the pizza's arrived within 15 mins.

After 3-4 nights of delicious Lao food it was nice to have something different on the other side of . I can imagine at 7:00 it would be a nice relaxing place to have a few beers and pizza's - especially if they light all of the citronella candles in the back yard.

“Nice experience and Good Pizza”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

The location is kinda cool, but out of the way. It's really in a backyard in an area not heavily infiltrated with tourists. But those who want a good pizza like me will find them out :)

“Delicious Pizza (w/suggestions)”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

The pizza here is absolutely delicious and you shouldn't miss it. Service is also great and we were served very quickly.
I feel that Pizza Phan is missing out on an opportunity to get people to spend more at their restaurant however. Adding a couple of simple entrees to the menu (garlic bread and bruschetta) would improve the customer experience without creating too much more complexity in the kitchen.
In terms of atmosphere, turning the overrun back yard into a herb garden would be a nice touch but maybe I only noticed as I went before nightfall.
All aside, the pizza is beautiful and I would strongly recommend it.

“Basic”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

A trip across the rickety bamboo bridge over the Nam Kham River sets the scene for the Pizza Phan Luang experience! Tucked away in a no-frills backyard setting, the wood fired oven cranks out delicious pizzas for those lucky enough to be 'in the know'. Go early or take a torch for the trip back down the banks of the river and across the bridge!

“Great pizza, great ambiance and great service!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

After searching for this restaurant for 2 days (we thought it was in the center!) we were so happy to know that it was a 5 minutes walk from our hotel (My Dreams boutique hotel)! They have a small choice in the menu but you can ask the owner to mix ingredients from different pizza...and our pizza were just amazing!!!! The service is perfect! JP, thank you again for the deep and inspiring philosophical discussions about human nature! :) Its always nice to meet a Canadian fellow on the other side of the planet! We had a really great time at your restaurant!
