Review of Sada Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Feb 2015
This boutique hotel is very charming. The rooms are large and furnished nicely. Breakfast iswonderful with everything from eggs to cereals, meats and fresh fruit. The fish pond and the grounds are very relaxing. It's only a short walk to downtown or only a Tuk Tuk ride away.

We stayed in room 103...very clean, Wi Fi available...overlooking the garden courtyard. The Sada Hotel is slightly close to town, but recommend taxi bike cost about 3 dollars to ride back and forth. Breakfast included with typical array of local and western type food available. The highlight of this trip was going to the artisan night market which starts around early evening closing around 10:00 pm.

Room tip: We didn't have hot water and got shorted on the 1st night with some many occupants. However, the hotel staff was very accommodating and we're able to use a vacant room. Last night was no problem with hot water.

Nice botique hotel. Out of town a little bit. But there is a free shuttle available. Nice breakfast. Rooms are clean and large with huge bed. The shower is a bit of problem. There is no curtain so the water floods the bathroom very easily. Love the village. Good shopping

Lets start with the good experiances:
We had a suite room that is a single but very spacious large room. Nice wood furnitures, a confortable dark wood floor and a great large size bed. This room is highly reccomendable as it is located inside the hotel facing to the inner garden and not to the road outside.
The lobby staff Alex and also the female GM are very firendly and try their best in good english to care on your needs.
As the hotel is located a bid outside of downtown, the hotel offers the use of a bike for free or drives you to the centre by a van between 8am and 8pm. Hotel pick up is also free and well organized.
Now lets talk about the gaps to be improved:
Once the managers have a day off, all is slowing down a bid. For example the very friendly room cleaners forgot to place a new toilet paper roll in the washroom when cleaning the room in the morning. After returning form a day trip back to the room, finding out this small issue and asking the lobby for arranging that needed paper soonest, we had to wait for almost 2 hours someone after asking again bring it. Luckaly we had some Tempo's for back-up-use ;-)
The breakfast is simply but so far OK. However the restaurant staffs are a bid of unorganized and complicated. Some Lao friends back in my home country told me that Lao peoples tending a bid to be slow moving persons. This is really reflected by these restaurant staffs there. The bacon for breakfast is served behind the small buffet bar by the egg cooker. If you need more than one slice you need to please that young and unexperianced staff there.
This brings it to the point: The staffs are not unfriendly, but unexperianced and shall be more trained.
Overall the Sada Hotel is a good choice and I still reccomend it to others and would return my self again. The shortages are not of to heavy weight and simply shows gaps where the managment shall take actions and train the staffs.

Room tip: choose the suite room

Although located a good 15 minute walk out of town, this hotel provides a free shuttle and bicycle hire to get you there.
Karaoke across the street could be loud in the evenings, but didn't go too late.
Room was clean and comfortable with free wi-fi.
Average breakfast, as items expected to be warm (e.g. pancakes and French toast) were laid out on the buffet to go cold.
