It is really important when visiting that you have knowledge of what you are viewing either a guide or previous information as you see so many different things that you would not understand or appreciate.

This is one of the greatest temples in Luang Prabang. The temple is something worth looking at. There's a beautiful garden with a pond behind the temple that's also something to check out. It's a good place to relax, especially during the evening with your girlfriend or wife.

The sim is the highlight, with its five-tiered roof extending protection over the spectacular gilded bas relief depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the life story of the Buddha.

Simply stunning. Take your time and enjoy all the buildings. The gold leaf exteriors are otherworldly. A don't miss sight.

This is a great place if you want to see everyday life of the monks going on as you wander around. Everything is laid back and welcoming. And nothing seems out of bounds. Try to fit this in with Wat Tham Phu Si and Wat Xieng Thong in one day before heading to the main street for a drink.
