“nice waterfalls but not as nice as Kuong Si Falls”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

very pretty cascade type falls but not as nice for swimming as the Kuong Si falls. You can do Elephant rides here but we learnt that they work their elephants very hard here. Better to try the elephant village where they only work the elephants for half a day and they have an on site vet.

“Ok”
Reviewed 8 December 2013 via mobile

This waterfall is ok but compared to the other one is it not so nice.
Really enjoyed the 7min boatride to get there.
Did the elephant riding and bathing there.
Have to say the riding is fun the bathing wasn't what i expected.
You just go in the water on their back but i thought you would really bath them.
They also have this big hook to hit them.
I asked my guide to stop wich he did.

“Beautiful Waterfall in Luang Prabang”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

We visited Tad Sae Waterfall as part of the half day Elephant Explore Tour package which we booked through a travel agent. It is accessible by small boat. When you walk from the boat station you will pass by an orchard and some elephants on the way to the waterfall. There is an area where you can swim and the water is inviting. This place has also become a popular spot for ziplining. Not much tourists when we visited so we practically had the place to ourselves. Excellent photo opportunity with nature.

“Go and do the ziplining”
Reviewed 22 November 2013 via mobile

This waterfall is really beautiful. It was my favourite in the area. It has jade coloured water and looks stunning in the dappled shade of the trees that somehow grow in the water.
Then the ziplining. It was just me and the two guides who are really lively and funny. It's the closest thing to being a tropical bird that you'll get. Flying through the canopy is stunning and when you go over the waterfalls (two or three lines go over) it's one of the most beautiful things you'll ever see. It's a big adrenaline rush and a bit terrifying (in a good way) the first time they drop you from one landing to the lower one. The guides whoop like baboons as they fly and they take your camera and do a great job taking photos and videos. DO IT!

“Elephants were hilarious against a stunning backdrop”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

The Tad Sae falls were just as stunning as the photos show but the elephants kept there are beautiful and so entertaining. For a fee you can sit on them while the take a dip below the falls - a stunning photo backdrop! They seem amused by the riders yelling with delight as they dip below the water. When the Mahout calls for them to come out they look the other way, as if they want to enjoy themselves a little longer (very amusing for the onlookers!)
