Our travel agency had booked this hotel. When we got there we were told they had no more rooms available and send us to Xang Keo Guest House. It's just around the corner and I was told it's from the same group. Prices at Xang Keo are cheaper thought which leaves you thinking...
Xang Keo is in a very quiet location in the same street the monks pass by in the early hours. It has a very good location but no river front views. Rooms were clean.
The rooms themselves can be very noisy depending your the next door neighbor - the walls are paper thin and you can hear any small move (even when the person next door hangs the clothes or goes to the toilet).
Breakfast is average and it's a buffet. On the last morning when we went down for breakfast there was nothing set up. We were told apart from us there were only another couple and so they would be doing a la carte. Not a problem if the waiter understood English. They did not bring all we ordered and brought things we did not order.More
