Worn out by the heat and the magnificent temples? Have one of those lovely coffee creations and a bagel. Update yourself and friends via the WiFi (which was extremely slow but could be a provider problem), read a newspaper. Anytime again.

Joma is a nice western style bakery and cafe. It's one of the best places to have a hearty American/British/Canadian breakfast in Luang Prabang.
Me and my friends came here nearly every morning and always enjoyed the food. It's a bit pricy though and the service (especially the cashier) can be frustratingly slow sometimes... But there's also free wifi!

It seems joma have a couple of locations in Luang Prabang. We were at the riverside.

The food wasn't bad, except for the pizza which was very doughy and tasted like it wasn't baked in a pizza oven.

The topping was delicious as was the other dish we tried which was a cheese melt.

Service was a little underwhelming and unattentative but wasn't terrible.

Not bad for a lazy coffee.

Thank Dominic L

My husband and I are digital nomads and are always looking for cafes with 1) good food, 2) good drinks, 3) decent wifi, 4) air conditioning, 5) comfortable chairs, and 6) decent bathrooms... We found all of these at Jomo and ended up working there for almost 10 days straight trying different things off the menu each day. Our guesthouse didn't offer breakfast, so we had breakfast and lunch at Joma. We sat on the second floor where I could have a table to work at and my husband could have a couch. It was perfect... one of our best working environments we've found in our 9 months of travelling.

It's not the cheapest place to eat (understatement), but we were paying more for a good place to work and good food.

Note that there are 2 Joma locations that we saw in Luang Prabang. This location is along the river and the other is beside the night market.
