Si-o-se-pol is indeed the most popular bridge in Iran. Thirty-three arches form this lovely bridge. The bridge is a very romantic place for walking. It has a magnificent architecture and spectacular view. It is also known as Jolfa bridge. The bridge is made of bricks and stones. It is 295 meters long and 13.75 meters wide. In my opinion the best place in town to see the sunset is here. Good place to see local people who are hanging around most of the time.

The river has dried out when we were here, special to be able to go below the bridge but nice area to find shade when passing the “river” in 40deg.
On the bridge the are a small private “rooms” on both sides where locals meet to dine, sing or talk.
The bridge connects the hotel area with the Main Street for shopping and to begin of the bazar area.

It is the longest bridge on the Zayanderud, with a total length of 297.76 metres (976.9 ft), and is one of the most famous examples of Safavid bridge design. It has 33 arches and the river was flowing when I visited this 20 years ago.

Sadly due to the drought in Iran this river is completely dry and the there's nothing but the bridge. You can walk on the bridge and Iranians spend the time in the evening with family on it.
