Our room was very nice with a lovely big balcony and the bed was very comfy. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by the very loud music coming from the lobby area. It kept us (and our toddler) awake until well after 1am. We did call reception and to be fair, they were good and the music was turned off/down after we complained but it really shouldn't have been that loud in the first place.

Dear sam3713,
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments.

I was quiet concerned to read that your toddler was unable to sleep and would like to take the opportunity to apologize for this inconveniece.

We certainly make every effort to ensure a good night's rest, with our focus on renewal and particularly with our signature Heavenly Beds.

It was good to know the music was turned down after your request and certainly hope that you would choose to return during future visits. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back and have you stay with us again!

My family and I stayed at the Westin from the 14th to the 21st August 2011 and we had an excellent stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at reception and our first impressions of the reception area were excellent- it is a beautiful hotel in Dubai. As my daughter and I were celebrating our birthdays I requested a room on a high floor, which we were provided with and as it was a special occasion we decided to upgrade to the Westin executive floor, which was well worth the extra cost. We stayed room 720.

Our room was lovely, the decor throughout the hotel had a "calming" feeling about it and the room was no different, the neutral colour scheme and plush bathroom showed the hotel to be a true five star standard property. Our first impressions of the room were that it was spotlessly cleaned and very well maintained. The hotel's Heavenly Bed was so comfortable! We all had the best nights sleep in a long time! After a walk around the hotel upon returning to our room we were greeted with a birthday cake- which was a lovely touch. The turndown service was also very good, and the staff could not do enough for us all.

The Westin Executive Club Lounge timings of an evening had changed slightly due to the month of Ramadan, and alcohol was served from 8pm to 10pm. The room was decorated to a high standard, and we immediately felt welcomed. The service was impeccable and the members of staff could not do enough for us, a special mention to Aakesh and Asif- they were both excellent throughout our stay. There was a good selection of food and beverages in the club lounge of an evening, however we did not visit for breakfast we ate in the Blue Orange restaurant. My daughter particuarly enjoyed the Westin Superfoods shots when we visited the lounge. Afternoon tea in the club was lovely, an excellent choice of fresh sandwiches and scones, cakes, arabic sweets and numerous hot drinks. It made a lovely change of an afternoon.

The Blue Orange Restaurant was fantastic, the selection of food and beverages both at breakfast and of an evening was great. The breakfast selection was excellent with a good variety of high quality foods. As we were on a half board basis we ate our evening meal in the Blue Orange. Once again the staff were excellent! We all commented how well the hotel blended together the Iftar meal and western foods as it was the month of Ramadan. We ate there every night for a week and the foods constantly changed and there were always fresh choices, there was something for everyone even the fussiest of eaters. There are food stations from every nation that you can think of, and the chefs all have their specialities.

The pool area at the Westin was tranquil and quiet, which made our holiday even more relaxing. The sunloungers were comfortable and the pool service very commendable, we ate a couple of times around the pool and we enjoyed our meals. The lifeguards are fantastic and very attentive. The pool area was cleaned to a very high standard and so was the beach. Overall our experience was very enjoyable as we visited the pool area daily.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at the Westin and it is one of the best hotels we have visited over the years in Dubai. We would definitely visit the Westin again as we had a great holiday there!

Dear LoveToTravel_20103,
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments.

It was a pleasure to read you and your family enjoyed the stay with us, and wonderful to welcome you and your daughter on the special birthday occasion!

It was particularly nice reading that Aakesh and Asif were attentive in the Executive Club. I enjoyed learning that you were keen on our SuperFoods menu items - this signature program coincides with our core value of rejuvenation and our focus on the health-oriented guest.

I realize you enjoyed the Blue Orange Restaurant for the majority of your dining experiences and hope that you would return to try the variety of outlets we have available at the resort, including an Italian, a steakhouse and a Thai restaurant!

With our location on the Jumeirah Coast, it was great to read as well that you enjoyed our Recreation facilities, experiencing a tranquil and quiet environment.

Should you return to Dubai, it would certainly be a pleasure to welcome you back and have you stay with us again.

Kind regards

We went to the westin in dubai in August which is pretty much the hottest time of the year in dubai. Rooms were spacious and the air excellent. The hotel has a covered baby pool to shield it from the sun and two other swimming pools. The pool side service was not as good as at other hotels we have stayed in dubai. The restaurants at the hotel are all excellent qulaity though the steak house is quite expensive. Also hotel huests have access to the floodlit tennis courts at the neighbouring hotel. All in all a nice holiday....4/5

Dear nick-london74,
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments.

It was a pleasure to read your review and to learn your family enjoyed the baby-pool and the tennis courts at our sister property, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi. We do also have a Penguin Club to ensure our younger guests have access to a variety of activities.

I was delighted to learn you enjoyed our food and beverage facilities, and at the same time would like to apologize that your experience at the Pool Bar was not as expected.

Please note we do plan to open a new Pool & Beach Restaurant in 2012 and would enjoy the opportunity to welcome you at this new venue.

Should you return to Dubai, it would certainly be a pleasure to welcome you back and have you stay with us again.

Me and my wife decided to stay at the Westin after reading reviews from tripadvisor.
I have stayed at Hilton Jumeriah and Sheraton Jumeriah previously. Westin is by far the best.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Our check-in which was at about 1am only took 5 minutes, we were in our room before we knew it.

The room was a deluxe sea view room which was very spacious..the views from the balcony were amazing, the massive bed was truly heavenly the bathroom was perfect with a bath tub and a walk in shower you had all the amenities you would need. an espresso machine, a big flat screen tv a DVD player were just some of the things we had in our room.
Our room was made everyday and all towels replaced..if we really wanted they would make the room twice. Complimentry bottled water and chocolates were left in the room everyday the service is truly exceptional.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast at the blue orange restaurant was amazing..you had everything you wanted and more.

The Pool beach area was great and again very spacious everyone had enough room to have there own space not like some hotels where everything is cramped together.

The gym and spa had a nice touch..you had everthing you need.

Now I want to take time out and praise the hard working staff. From the entrance staff through to reception, concierge, security, restaurant waiterss/chefs, staff that make the room, spa/gym, and pool beach staff and lifeguards are EXCELENT..every member of staff at the hotel had an individuality about them and all went out there way to help you.
At the entrance i spoke to Badia numerous times who was very helpful giving me advice on where to go.
The westin is indeed a great hotel and the staff make it FAULTLESS.
I Recommend this hotel to everyone and will be returning very soon.

Room Tip: Deluxe sea view room for the best view

Dear Irfan K,
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments.

I was delighted to learn you enjoyed your stay. 'From the entrance staff through to reception, concierge, security, restaurant waiters/chefs, staff that make the room, spa/gym, and pool beach staff and lifeguards', it was a pleasure to learn our team was accommodating. Particularly wonderful was learning Badia was helpful in providing advice.

It was great to read our Heavenly Spa provided a nice touch, and our focus therein is on a renewing experience. I recommend trying the Butterfly Massage! We have also recently launched our In-Room Spa Treatments and these are great for guests who enjoy a more personal experience in the comfort of their guestrooms.

It is great to read you recommend us and will be returning very soon. It will certainly be a pleasure to welcome you back and have you stay with us again!

Another stay @ The Westin Dubai and another very happy experience. We were really very well looked after and a particular word of thanks to both Anan and Abdul in The Blue Orange at breakfast. We celebrated our 20th Wedding anniversary while there and benefited from a few nice touches from the hotel which were appreciated. Almost everything about this hotel is perfect and its staff really work hard to make it a true 5 star experience.

If there is one area the hotel falls down in it is in its kids club . The planned and advertised "Westin Kids Club" never materilised and does not exist so The Penguin Club in its sister hotel Le Meridien next door is utilised instead. The staff here try really hard but the dated facilities let the place down resulting in no more than a 3 star experience not befittng the hotel generally.

On the plus side the restaurants Busolla and The Spice Emporium were top class. We visited both places twice and were well impressed. The 3 pools are top class as is the beach and the rooms are as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

All in all a really top class hotel but just an average kids club.

It was a pleasure to welcome you back and wonderful to read Anan and Abdul made your breakfast experience particularly delightful.

Congratulations once again on your Anniversary!

Please accept our apologies that your expectations at the Penguin Club were not met, as we aim to please even our youngest visitors.

Notwithstanding, it was great to read you enjoyed our Bussola and Spice Emporium Restaurants. We are excited to be opening our Bussola Pizzeria again in September after closure during the summer months and hope to see you there again in the not-too-distant future.

Myself and my husband stayed at the Westin August 13th - 21st 2011. I would have to say it was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Our room was amazing, facing the beautiful sea, and much larger than I expected. It was spotless, best pillows I have slept on, will defo order some. The bathroom was simply fab. Would find it very difficult to find any fault. All the staff were so helpfull, with special compliments to the staff working in the executive lounge on the 8th floor, well done !
We tried all the restaurants and all were excellent.
Hopefully we will get the chance to return to Dubai, and when we do we will be staying at the Westin for sure.
