WOW... I really cannot say enough about this hotel! first of all, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, and I don't think I saw one person that wasnt smiling during my 10 day stay. The hotel is conveniently located, and the pool/amenities are breathtaking. The only thing that I couldnt quite comprehend is the wifi situation -- it was ridiculously expensive, and the business center only allowed 30minutes per day.

Do not use this hotel if getting loyalty reward is important to you. We chose this hotel being a SPG member and they were offering triple points at this time only to discover at check in that this hotel does not give points. This fact is not generally known and by the standard responses we received from management, they get many complaints. Although the location and grounds are good, the food on offer for half board is well below 5 star standard. As frequent visitors to Dubai we are used to a much better standard. This is one hotel we will never use again.

This was my third business trip in Dubai this year and my husband was tagging along as our baby-moon trip. I have to say the hotel room was a bit dated, feeling old and not maintained well.

We stayed in a deluxe sea view room with a good view out to The Palm but the room was small, compare to Grand Hyatt, and I found couple holes behinds the lightings in the bathroom which is very bad for a 5-star hotel.

We had room service and couple meals in the hotel and most of the food was quite disappointing. And surprisingly, there's no Arabic restaurant in the hotel which you would expect from a hotel in Dubai.

The front desk service wasn't very nice either. When we checked out, there was no thank you or ask us how was our stay. However, the staff at the restaurants were all very nice and very friendly. Fred the bell boy was exceptional. He was so friendly and giving us all kind of dining tips.

Overall, average experience, not a hotel I would return to. Considering the price we paid for, I expect a real 5-star experience.

This was the second time we have stayed at this Hotel, the return was prompted by the fact it is "spot on" for our needs.
We spent two weeks there in late May with our two eldest Grandchildren boys aged nearly 12 and 10.
The Hotel and its facilities, pool, beach, dining, etc. are all excellent and the Kids Club is 110% in particular Sam is astounding with children.
We have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade, we did and got a mini suite

We spent 3 nights at the Westin hotel and I have to say we were really impressed. We were on stop off before flying to the Maldives and weren't expecting such a high standard of accommodation. We couldn't fault anything - rooms, service, food, facilities, cleanliness. We had a deluxe sea view room and the views were stunning looking over the Arabian Sea and the Palm Atlantis. The room was a great size and bathroom luxurious. Food choices were fantastic, it was also a nice touch at breakfast to be given different superfoods to try !! If we return to Dubai we would certainly look to stay here again. Location great.

Room Tip: Well worth having a Deluxe Sea View Room - we also asked for a King Size bed which was no problem.

We stayed for 4 days on the way to Ireland for a wedding. My wife and I and 4 kids (3 boys - 9, 7 and 5 and baby girl) stayed in connecting Executive SeaView rooms (710 and 711). Rooms are spacious, immaculate and well presented. The Westin resort is beautifully done - I would avoid Le Meridien next door if you are not budget conscious. It is nowhere near as Luxe as the Westin. The Westin is only 3 years old so it is fresh and new.

The staff were unbelievable. They could not have made the kids more welcome. Welcome packs on arrival - staff everywhere - including about a dozen lifeguards around the pool - all wanting to play with the kids and give us a break.

The boys even loved Kids Club which is no mean feat for our kids - great activities.

What surprised us (to be frank we didn't expect it) was the food. The photos of the Blue Orange Room on the website don't do the actual restaurant justice - it is beautifully appointed. Most nights they had an international buffet - with stations for Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and other foods. The quality was excellent and delicious. The kids loved the dessert station -which on the last night included a Chocolate fountain with lollies and fruit to dip! A hit for the last night with the kids.

The Westin is only a short taxi ride to the two main water parks - Wild Wadi and Aquaventure - both great adventures for the kids and for the adults - although Wild Wadi is older the kids still loved it and are still debating which was better. Wild Wadi was certainly cheaper than Aquaventure!

All in all a thoroughly brilliant stay - Dubai was not on our list of must go to places for a break but we will certainly be going back to the Westin Dubai - as soon as we can.

I like to provide constructive feedback on the hotels so that the hotels can improve- but I am struggling to think of what wasn't at an exceptionally high standard....hmmmm....the only thing I can think of is that they lost my underwear in the laundry on the last day (but found it before we flew out).

In conclusion - in the kids words - the Westin is "the best hotel ever"; "the food was the best" and "the pools are the best pools ever" "The kids club was the best"; "the buffet was awesome" " it was great; the food was great; everything was great; plus an additional laugh was they almost lost dad's undies".

Room Tip: Go for a Executive Club Sea View Room (interconnecting if you have kids).

It was an excellent 2 night stay in the hotel during the last year Eid holidays. Rooms were spacious with all the modern day 5 star comforts. Bedding was firm and comfortable. Breakfast spread was excellent including open kitchen with freshly prepared items. Children had great time in the pool and kids club. Penguin Kids club assistants were really attentive and caring for the children. They had planned activities every day. There were even mini football ground in a open grass area. Children did the water sports (Dough nut ride) and it turned out to be a thrilling one for them.Nice photo shoot opportunities ih the back drop of Palm Jumeirah. It was nice to spend the afternoon time lazing around the pool. Plenty of trees and shade available before venturing into beach. Overall a fantastic stay in the resort.
