“A unique hotel. Plenty to fascinate and entertain. First class waterpark attached. Expensive, though.”
Reviewed 15 September 2011

I stayed here for three nights with my girlfriend. The hotel and its situation are unique. The design is amazing, at times quite breathtaking.

We loved the Aquaventure waterpark, which is attached to the hotel. The day we spent in the park (the price of which was included) was truly awesome and one of the most fun days we have had. The park feels very safe and the rides are thrilling and brilliantly designed. There are helpful staff available at every turn. The see-through flume which passes through a shark tank is particularly amazing.

The hotel also has a nice little aquarium, although this is more for entertainment than education - they don't tell you the names of any of the fish!

Our room was very comfortable and beautifully designed. A lot of thought has clearly gone into all of its features.

The hotel has a selection of restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Lebanese place with its sumptuous food and talented belly dancer.

If you go here you are likely to have a really memorable trip. The prices of food and drink are, however, high. I paid over $10 for a beer.

Room Tip: The more you pay, the better the room and view.

We arrived at Atlantis the Palm in July and spent a week at the hotel. First impressions of the hotel were great, lobby was spectacular! We arrived early morning and were told we would have to wait a while before being able to check, we went to the shopping mall and came back, checked into the room and had to wait a further 3-4 hours for our luggage to be brought up despite many calls to reception. However apart from this the service was brilliant. The restaurants offered a great variety of food, and being half-board there was a big choice of restaurants we could eat from. The free access to the waterpark was great- we spent many fun days there. We also took part in the ray feeding which was a great experience and i would definitely recommend it! The actual hotel room itself was quite average- we had a deluxe room, however it was clean and comfortable. Overall it was definitely a great stay and i would definitely go back.

The Atlantis was our stop over for 2 nights and we had no desire to leave the hotel from the moment we arrived. The service is impeccable, with numerous restaurants, shopping mall, aquarium and water park all on site we easily filled our 2 days with activities and the convenience of being able to retreat from the 48 degree heat to our room. Highly recommend feeding the Cow nose rays and the breakfast buffet is phenomenal! Although expensive, our half board room rate included our breakfast and evening meal so ended up being fantastic value for money.

Stayed at the Atlantis Dubai with Husband and twins aged 2 years in May 2011.

We had a Deluxe room with balcony which looked over the driveway to the hotel in the South Tower.

The Room 5455 was big with two king size beds, with a lovely bathroom with seperate shower, which you could have the doors open to look onto the room or closed to make private.

There were tea and coffee facilities in the room which was lovely, there were also Bathrobes and Slippers which was also a nice touch. However I did not receive my Guest Beach Bag which everyone else received and did not get an apology for this from the hotel :( It may have been due to the hotel being full but I was left disappointed by this as I did get one when we stayed at the Jumeriah Beach Hotel.

The hotel itself was packed when we stayed there, there were 4000 guests staying in the hotel that weekend which made it feel very busy and you did not get a personel feel to the hotel.

When we arrived reception was so busy and with two small children this was a totsal nightmare, we were then excorted to the waiting area which was a room with chairs and also sperate showers and toilets to change into if you happened to pack you swimming things in a seperate bag, (luckily we had).
We changed here and left our luggage in this holding area and went to the beach, which was very very nice and the staff were very helpful making up our loungers for us and also taking our drinks and food orders.
The beach was so clean and it was a lovely setting looking onto the palm from this wonderful beach.
We then had to back to the holding area collect our luggage and head back to reception to get our room key.

The hotel itself is quite amazing, we took the residents option with the lost chamber package thrown in on the package, the children loved this and the aquarium in the Atlantis blows the Dubai Mall aquarium out the water it was totally amazing and so clean.

We used the Kalaedioscope restraunt for the our dinner and breakfast and it was very child friendly and had a fantastic range of food and also had real bacon in the morning which was quite amazing.

We used the hotel babysitting facilitiy which was excellent, the nanny came to our room at 7.30 (you have to book for a minimum of 4 hours) and she stayed in the room with the children whilst we went to explore the rest of the hotel.

We went to Nasimmi Beach for the end of season Foam Party which was very good but drink is very expensive but a wonderful setting and great music, from here we went to Nobu and had a lovely relaxed evening.

The hotel itself is very nice but with it being open to the public in certain areas it is very very busy, it may just have been that this particular weekend it was full to capacity.

I am glad that we have stayed at the Atlantis but dont know if we would go back.

Stayed here for our honeymoon, we had our room upgraded for the occasion! Room was fantastic staff also left choclates for us which was a nice touch! Hotel itself is amazing, the fish tank is huge had to drag the new hubbie away from it on a regular basis!!! Some of the restaurants in the hotel are expensive but as we had meals included in our package we didn't have any problems! At the poolside there are lots of sun longers and staff serving drinks. Overall we had a lovely stay here will definitely return!!

It's grand!! It's really wonderful .... Sea like aquariums, amazing waterpark, mouth watring cuisine in breakfast, delicious restaurants. Everything was perfect except the cost... But it's in Dubai .... Where money is cheaper than water!!! So, if u r not tight at pocket it's worth visiting this wondrous "Monument". I call it Monument b'cos it will remind the imagination and execution excellence of our time to our coming generations.

Great hotel, staff, waterpark, infact everything apart from the sea, My son was swimming when he was stung, the jellyfish wrapped itself around his body and his arm. The beach lifeguard called the paramedic immediately and the staff were wonderful. He did not swim in the sea again as he needed treatment every 4 hours for the next 2 days until we went home. Before leaving he saw a doctor who administered injections which lasted until we got back to the UK for more treatment. If only the beach signs were clearer. Maybe he would have taken more notice to beware instead of concerntrating on his frontcrawl.
This has not stopped us going to the Atlantis but we will be in the pool, not the sea. Nearly a year has gone by and he is left with terrible scars on his arm. he says luckily he is a teenage boy who can tell his story, i think a girl would have a different opinion as the scar is ugly and will never go away.
