We spent the first 3 days of our honeymoon at the Atlantis before moving on our favourite beach and spa resport an hour away in Ras al Khaimah.

They were instructed it was our honeymoon so we were so say given an upgrade on check in. Our room was on the 7th and sea facing but for the money we paid i would say it was pretty standard. We have stayed in nicer room for much less in Dubai.

The Lobby and public areas are quite amazing. We visited the waterpark and lost chambers which were fab but had i of paid as a day visitor i would of been disappointed.

The restaurants are FANTASTIC, we had breakfast at Saffron and Kaleidoscope, all you can eat and an amazing choice. We used our half board vouchers for lunch at Rostang. We assumed as it was included in our package the menu would be restricted but there was a great menu and it included 3 courses. Could not fault the food or the services. We also had a great lunch at Ronda Locatelli.

We ate and paid extra for Dinner at Seafire (Steakhouse) and NOBU. The highest quality of food. Made our stay.

All staff are amazingly helpful and can not do enough.

The pool and beach areas are clean and lovely. However they all over look the highrise view of Dubai city and for me that ruined it. If u look out to sea i like to sea the horizon not aload of buildings.

Would go back for a meal but feel its overrated as a hotel

The hotel looks majestic from the outside but I would not rate it as a sophisticated experience though the price indicates that.Very good for families with children and teenagers,ITS MORE LIKE A THEME PARK STYLE .Very crowded restaurants at breakfast time.

When you land in Dubai on a hot clear night you are greeted with the view of one of the wonders of the world. A city of unequalled beauty rising out of the desert. However this is put in the shade by the sight you get as you approach the Atlantis. It is simply awe inspiring. Once you get inside you are treated like royalty in the most magnificent of surroundings. Everything is clean, neat and tidy. The rooms, even the standard ones, are perfect. We where lucky enough to visit, not stay at, the sister hotel in the the Bahamas earlier this year. The only difference being the casino. Gambling is illegal in Dubai. All the staff where friendly and welcoming. Now the downside. It is very expensive. For example a glass of white wine can cost 55 Dhs.and a bottle of beer can be 35 Dhs. You can swim with the dolphins in the wonderful water park but it may be cheaper to buy one and keep it at home in your bath.
Its a great place to take kids as it is very safe and there is lots for them to do. Take advantage of the free shuttle bus that takes you to any of the shopping malls. Or the metro link which can take you all over the city. There are many excellent restaurants in the hotel offering a variety of foods. However if you are on a half board deal be careful about accepting any "chefs specials" as this can be costly. On arrival you will be asked for a 2000 Dhs deposit in case of incidentals so bring a credit card or cash.

We arrived at the hotel with some paper work missing but after some convincing they checked us in. add 1star... then the luggage took ages to arrive, minus 1star... the welcome fruit basket was impressive, add 1star... Toiletries were less than average, minus 1star... room location and room's interior and quietness was impressive, add 1 star... the food at the restaurants and the buffet breakfast was very impressive, add 2stars, the rides, water park, aquaventure, and facilities were all again impressive, add 2stars...

Room Tip: I felt that the whole floor we stayed on was quiet; probably because its near the kids pool area and...

We started our "Dubai" experience from Newcastle with Emirates and we had heard before we booked that they were one of the best airlines in the world and I certainly do not disagree. Although the seat pitch was a standard long haul 33" it was comfortable without being luxurious. Be aware though that seat A and K on the windows have restricted leg room due to the in seat entertainment system. To be honest my wife and I did not use the system much as we were just so enjoying the whole experience. The food by airline standard was first class and I would have been happy to have had it in a restaurant. The crew were exceptional and very professional. We arrived in Dubai about 25 mins later than scheduled at about 00:15. I dont know if our aircraft was in the usual parking bay for our flight but be warned if it usually parked there you have about a 30 min journey by foot and travelator ro reach one of the 55 passport control point all of which had 50+ people waiting. We cleared the airport at about 01:30. We decided to have a private transfer as we did not know how far the Atlantis was from the airport. We are please we did as it was a good introduction to the country. We arrived at the hotel at about 02:15 and it was buzzing! More like 14:15 than 02:15 but that said it was a nice buzz!

Our room on the 10th floor was really nice and spacious with sea view. It was immaculate and was kept that way through out our stay. We were on a half board upgrade so did not have access to all 17 restaurants but the ons we could use were all very good. We especially liked the Italian one (cant remember the name).

We were only on a 3 night visit which only gave us two full days and as we wanted to see as much of Dubai as possible we did not use any of the incredible pool facilities but they looked amazing.

Please if you go to Dubai do yourselves a favour and savour old Dubai it is amazing and the local people are so so friendly and we really felt at home.

One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is a 45 min Taxi and Metro journey to old Dubai. Both systems are amazing value. A 25 min taxi from the hotel to the nearest Metro point was only about £5 and you could get an all day Metro ticket for about £4.50 so dont be afraid of public transport.

Would we go back................whens the next flight!!!!!

services is really baaaaaad, and the price is too high for this bad services especially: room service "we found a broken glass" behind the TV. valet parking: if you forgot your card you should go and bring it again otherwise they will not bring your car, and they said if you lost your card then you will go and looking for your car in the parking. internet 99 AED per day for 1 MB and 150 AED per day for faster diving in the aquarium 2500 AED for 2 dives. too slow checking in and out. in a short term they look like want to achieve their turnover for nothing to do for guest.

We arrive at midnight and we ask to change ours Atlantis rooms to Imperial Club. As the hotel was full booked, we're lucky and get "Sweet Suite" - Terrace suite which was great and huge. Also other rooms are nice and clean.
As Imperial Club guest you have almost whole day refreshment and snack for free. All attractions offered by hotel are nice, beech is clear, during stay you get free ice cream on beach. The real amazing is the big aquarium inside, we can spent hours to watching it.
Restaurants are OK, if there was some problem always sold and they try to compensate it.
It's huge hotel and it's not comparable with stay in some boutique hotel but all was good organized, personal always helpful so we really enjoy stay here and looking to return here for another great week.

Room Tip: Choose Imperial Club
