We spent one night and two days here at the end of a week's break in Dubai.
The foyer is huge and amazing, reception and check in was efficient considering the sheer volume of guests. Our rooms were available at 10am which was great. We were on the 13th floor overlooking the ocean and the front of the hotel. The room itself was clean, and spacious, with tea and coffee facilities, fridge and large tv. The decor was quite muted in comparison with the rest of the hotel.
We spent time at the waterpark which was good fun, but would probably be hard pushed to make a full day out of it. There were loads of lifeguards so felt very safe. There are places to buy food and drink, which whilst not cheap, were not as extortionately expensive as they could have been. Ramadan was not adhered to whilst in the hotel. There are a couple of large pools, again with plenty of lifeguards. The beach was ok, my friend was stung by a jellyfish though which put us off going back there. Towels are readily available at the pool, beach and waterpark.
We ate at the Kalaediscope Restaurant on both of the evenings, and were very happy with the variety and quality of the food, all tastes were catered for. We paid around £35 per person (including a drink) on the first night, the second we went to the Iftar Buffet which was very good, and we paid slightly less and soft drinks were included.
The hotel really is something out of Disney - there's plenty to look and marvel at, but it isn't a relaxing atmosphere. It's massively noisy and busy with lots of families and children enjoying themselves. It was good for a one night experience, but it won't be to everyone's taste - it's not somewhere I could imagine going again. I don't want to be too harsh, as I know for some people it would be a dream holiday. It's a place for families with children, and really that's the only people I personally would recommend it to.

We arrived at the hotel at about 2am 24th August, myself, wife and 2 kids 13 and 9. What an amazing lobby, waited for our turn to check-in (only 10mins wait), we were greeted by Benedict on the check-in desk , who asked if we were here for any special occasion, we said it was our 15th wedding anivesary and we asked about a possible upgrade and he was more than happy to check, after checking he gave us our half-board (recommended) vouchers and room key, we followed the bell boy went in to our room and could not belive what Benedict got us, it was the executive suite (from original deleuxe room), then he phoned and asked if we were happy with his choice, wow what a room!!, service overall was really good throughtout the stay, on half-board kids drinks are free, they also have happy hour in Barazua from 8pm to 11pm on most drinks (ask before ordering). At the water park no need for locker if you go for about 10am you can grab a sun lounger and leave your bag there (locker charged at 40dhs about £8 per day). The only bad service is at The Edge (pool restaurant) waiters very slow. Overall this place is execellent and keep an eye out for the supercars at front of hotel, Lamborghini's, Porsche's, Ferrari's and loads more. Already booking for next year!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Atlantis for 1 night in August at the end of our holiday. The bedroom was luxurious, the hotel very clean and the decor amazing. The entrance to the Lost Chambers aquarium and the waterpark is inlcuded in the price of the room. We had two whole days there and used the waterpark on both days. I really enjoyed our stay however it is quite 'Disneyish' and is very family orientated hence lots of children, screaming etc around the pool areas. The prices of the restaurants are very expensive and as a captive audience you end up paying considerably more for meals and drinks than you would elsewhere.
The hotel itself is an amazing experience, the views are fantastic, the luxury is as you would expect. Two days was enough for us and was a fantastic end to our holiday but we did appreciate the 6 days we spent in the Amwaj Rotana beforehand, where we had a relaxing, quiet time in luxurious surroundings.

Got back from the atlantis yesterday, we went there for a week for our honeymoon. It is the best place both of us have ever been to and we didn't want to come home.
we went half board, you get a choice of 3 restaurants to eat in but we only ate in Saffron for dinner which was lovely, as the other buffet restaurant had some special food for ramadan in. breakfast was also lovely lots of choice.
Aquaventure water park is brilliant and they have 2 little restaurants there which aren't badly priced and the food is really nice, stuff like burgers, hot dogs and chips. All the rides are really good it does get quite busy there so either get the early or later in the afternoon to get a sun lounger, it doesn't close until sunset so you can spend hours there.
We did the shallow water dolphin experience which was amazing, the staff are really friendly and make it a really good experience, you get to play with the dolphins hug them and kiss them, and there is a photographer there taking photos.
Some people have moaned about how expensive things are at atlantis, its not cheap but its an amazing 5 star hotel and if your going to have the holiday of a lifetime then it wont matter how much a bottle of drink costs.
We absolutly loved the atlantis and will definatley go back.

Booked it for cheap during the Ramadan (non peak) period. Only 800 AED per night (for 2 person) without breakfast. As hotel guests ,the free entries to it's attractions already covered the cost of this 800 AED so it's super duper worth it! Of course I got the cheapest room, but at this hotel... the cheapest room is already a luxurius suite by itself.

When you first arrive at the Atlantis, you cant help but be extremely impressed by the whole Location and design!.
The Positives - Design - Aquaventure - Lost Chambers. We went with 2 young children (3 and 5) They loved the experience.
The developmental points! - Guest service was terrible! The place is so big that there is absolutely no interaction or personal service. The concentration seems to be on getting as many rooms full as possible with customer focus taking a back seat!.

Our check in was smooth, but again staff were just doing a job - no friendliness!

On arrival to our room - i thought this is nice, but we had just stayed 3 nights at the Westin Mina Seyahi - rooms at Westin were 100 fold better and more modern!

Breakfast - SHOCK HORROR!! - we walked towards one of the numerous restaurants available for breakfast................ there were 40 + people in the queue !!! (IS THIS A FIVE STAR HOTEL OR PIZZA HUT AT THE BULL RING BIRMINGHAM!!!)
When you pay to stay 5 star you shouldn't be queuing!!
Once in the Keleidoscope Restaurant the food was good and a great variety.

This was the same the following day!

Dinner was a more pleasant experience! although still very busy!

Checkout!
I called the reception to advise that we were checking out and could they send somebody to collect suitecases.
we were told it would be at least 20 minutes before anybody could do this.
We decided to take them down ourselves and saw 8- 10 bell boys just standing there!.

OVERALL I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN, THE WESTIN WAS SO MUCH MORE PERSONABLE AND LUXURIOUS! HOWEVER AQUAVENTURE WAS GREAT!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in July & had a lovely experience. As you enter the lobby, the grandness of this hotel greets you with a huge artistic type tree right in the center. A floor below, they have an aquarium with the most exotic sea-life, all inside the hotel!! Also part of the hotel is a water park with all the best rides, and a dolphin experience (chargeable), where you can swim with dolphins! They have a superb beach and even better pool, but thats only if Dubai heat permits!

The room is very big / spacious and super comfortable, but it would be criminal to stay here and not make use of the hotel's facilities, which are easily amongst the world's best!

I was recommended very strongly not to miss their breakfast, and I'm glad I didn't. I have never seen a bigger breakfast spread in all my travels. They have easily over 10 international cuisine breakfast spreads and an option of 2 restaurants for breakfast which runs till 11 - 11:30am (nice for late risers like us).

Their staff is very courteous and really make you feel welcome.
The only downer is: Due to its huge size, the hotel is packed with guests! So be prepared to wait in line for almost everything - check in lines, concierge lines, breakfast venue lines etc.

Another nice thing was they provide free shuttle service from the hotel to major malls and back, but be there a little before their designated pick-up time, as these tend to fill up very quickly.

All in all, we loved our stay here and would strongly recommend it to anyone!
