This hotel has a great location: 10 minutes from terminal 3, just across one of the nicest malls with a great food court!
A good choice of restaurants, with a great buffet breakfast with local specialties.
But I'm peeved about the inconsistent service standards of Accor hotels across the region, from amazingly great to absolutely bad. This one was somewhere in the middle.
1. Receptionists (first impression) seem to be overworked, short staffed and unhappy. They can't even remember to greet guests. I (the guest) had to say 'good morning, welcome to Novotel, am I?' to remind them of the basics.
2. The iron board I got in the room wouldn't pass a 2-star hotel quality. Almost broken and way too small.
3. Something wrong with my phone system so every time I pressed for housekeeping, it would connect to the reception (the unhappy bunch) who would often put it on hold without even saying a word. The worst phone manners ever!! So if a guest was having a heart attack, there was no way to get anyone's attention quickly.
I'm beginning to expect surprises from Accor hotels but this one was simply below standard. More
