Booked the Bonnington on advice of my travel agent, we had 3 nights here pre cruise and returned here post cruise for a further four days. They accommodated us on early check-ins on both occasions without any hassle. The attention to detail in the bedrooms is exceptional and bedlinen, curtains etc pure luxury, and a fabulous rainfall shower. The hotel is approx 15 minutes taxi ride from the main shopping centres but the taxi system in Dubai is very affordable and the hotel was well known to all the taxi drivers. We organised our tours of the city and local area through the hotel.
We ate in both restaurants and also in the Irish bar attached to the building and food was very good in all areas and a menu to suit all tastes. There was a brilliant atmosphere in the Irish bar, which attracts many different nationalities working in the Dubai area, and is very efficiently run by Michael, a very friendly Irishman, who we had some lovely conversations with.
The leisure deck has the most beautiful infinity pool but one drawback is the sun only briefly shines there in the morningtime due to the layout, but in fairness who needs to sit in the sun when you visit Dubai!!
This hotel definitely deserves it's five star rating and I could not recommend it highly enough for any visitors to Dubai. Hopefully I will return also someday.
