“Clothes and Jewellery”
Reviewed 24 December 2011

This is the place to go if you want Indian style clothes, find tailors who would make made to measure suits, Asian style jewellery and find Indian food both vegetarian and non vegetarian and any other type of knick knacks.

Meena Bazaar buzzes day and night and get very hectic. Its a haggler's paradise the only sore point is those people flogging fakes that jump out of every nook and cranny offering you the bargains. It quickly becomes irritating when you see the same guys all the time.

“Fun Shopping”
Reviewed 20 December 2011

Great place to grab a bargain on some nice handmade indian style clothing. Also got a good deal on a new cell phone. Some authentic samosa are to be enjoyed!

“Excellent but a bit pricey!”
Reviewed 12 December 2011

Just like shopping in a bazaar in India or Pakistan. Lots of shops and variety, materials, ready made shalwar kameez suits, sarees, tailors, imitation jewelry and gold shops, some nice eating places too, but be prepared to haggle. Not easy to get a cab from here between 4-6pm! Metro station Khaled Bin Waled station is withing walking distance during the winter months !

“Great Place”
Reviewed 14 September 2011

Meena Bazaar - The Heart of Dubai, the only place in Dubai which is more crowded than other places in Dubai.
There are so many restaurants serving great food here - all type of Indian food is available here (Gujarati, South India, North Indian, Rajasthani food. Chaats, Sweets)
Its a good shopping place as well. You get good quality textile here be it sarees, dress materials, suiting shirtings, everything.
There are many money exchange bureaus available in this area.
There are shops selling all sort of Indian stuff be it food, household items, anything whatever you can think of.
Nearby to Meena Bazaar, there is the textile market, the temple + gurudwara + haveli, the corniche, the abra (water transport).
Meena Bazaar gives the essence of mini India for the NRIs in Dubai.

“Minha's Bazar”
Reviewed 24 September 2009

Minha's Bazar is located in Bur Dubai, just of Bank Street. It features a wide range of clothing and linen shops, as well as some exquisite cafes and restaurants. If you want to escape the "I could be anywhere" homogenized shopping malls and experience the vibrancy of the real market town Dubai then Minha's Bazar is a great place to start. You can also pick up some great bargains. Just one final note of caution. Don't buy any watches from any of the touts in the street. When pressed, one of them assured me that he only deals in " genuine fake" labels.
