“Al Karama Market goodies”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Just returned from Dubai last week - had a great time - had to visit Al Karama Market - was quite void of people when I went - quiet and not to many vendors. Went to Green eye - asked for good stuff and they took us to an apartment block across the road ( not scary at all )-plenty of bags and behind a secret door where the watches - grade A, AA, AAA - every brand available - you had to haggle and they would come down a bit - LINKS - very rude and said no watches or rooms / maybe I did not match their private good stuff criteria!!

However next to Links was a cracking shop with some really friendly lads - private room in the attic and trays upon trays of AAA watches from ROLEX / BREITLING / HUBLOT / PATEK PHILLIPE / you name it he had it and all the latest designs - wife got some Paul Smith stuff and daughter got some bags - they did us a decent deal - but don't expect to get the watches for 300 durhams anymore - prices are roughly the same from shop to shop.

You can get to the market - down town by bus / metro or cab - we stayed at Jumeriarh beach and cost 45 Durhams one way - but if you want to save a few bob and do the bug bus tour - situated at Madinat souk market you can drop on and off the bus any where on the routes - buses are every 30 mins so it may work out cheaper than multiple taxi fares - by the way use the bog standard taxis ( cream with coloured roof racks) all owned by royal family !! - NOT to my mistake initially the private ones - about 20-30 durhams more expensive per trip.

I would give Al Karama Market a go - its fun and safe and you can get your goodies and look like a millionaire film star into the bargain.

“place is mental”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

place is mental but is the place to go and get what your after. If you want the bettter quality you do have to go to the "showrooms" which are flats near bar so dont be alarmed when they take you. haggle like your life depends on it as if they think you have money it will be sky high. the quality of the stuff is tremendous outwith the market and well worth the trip and the money that was parted with.

“Great purchases.”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Went a bit too late on the weekend so closing at 11 pm. Majid at BlueMarine took us to secret room apartment which was fun, exciting and had more stock than shop. Also saw upstairs room at shop. Haggled quite well and he offered a good discount which we were happy with. Persepolis has great gifts especially for children to take back as souvenirs. Was second visit to both and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“Shop till you drop”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Back to kurama shopping after 3 years. Tried links. Told no secret rooms. Quiet rude. Their loss. Headed to Janvin. Super helpful and not in your face. Bought several bags purses and ugg boots. (Cheaper than Australia). Bargain hard but they are pretty good to deal with. Am sure my lv was a great investment. They are discreet. I will be back. The place I shopped at last time was closed so was pleased to find this place.
