Excellent, worth going at least once. It changes from the other Iftars which are like any other buffet, except you have to hurry up!! Try to fast on the day you go and don't rush on the date and water until when your host has invited you to do so! Good food and typical dishes.
Helpful explanations and visit of the mosque, the hosts had a great sense of humour and we did not feel how fast time was flying.
Thank you to all of the hosts for being so welcoming.

You go inside the mosque and the people are welcoming answering any question imaginable you have a muslims. The dress code is modest, but they will give you a covering.

A wonderful educational museum about history of Dubai. Various areas depicting life in the desert and progressing through to Dubai as it is today. No steps just ramps leading down to the lower floors.

I have no doubt that this is a wonderful experience, if you got to have it at all! My husband and I had been in correspondence with the center before we left the U.S. to make sure we had a spot at the breakfast and walking tour. We left our hotel early to make the 9:00 am time. When we arrived at the center, we were told that when the weather is too hot, the breakfast and tour did not take place. We were further told we had contacted with the cancellation. When I checked my mail, the email was sent at 8:00 am, a time after we had already left our hotel to make the appointment. We were left very disappointed. Surely, if the summer months are too hot, then this is a known fact, and we could have been told this prior to the day of our tour!
On a separate note, we tried to get information from the office staff, about what to do in the area, now that we were there without a plan. Let me say, I don't think it was the friendliest interaction I have ever had.
With that said, I would certainly want to try this again - in the cooler months- as we feel we missed out on a wonderful cultural experience.
